Chapter 1034 I Will Treat You Well 

“Didn’t we hire a nanny? Besides, we also have an automatic washing machine. Why are you washing your clothes by hand?” When Alex crouched down to help Stanley up, he noticed out of the corner of his eye that his clothes were also in the basin. 

Stanley hugged Alex’s leg after shaking the water off his hands. However, he could not stop the tears from falling down his cheeks. 

So much had happened to him that day, from feeling aggrieved and frightened to almost being sold. When he saw that his beloved father had returned, he immediately burst into tears. 

“What’s the matter? Did someone bully you? Don’t cry, Stanley. Tell me what’s wrong. I’ll handle it for you. Or are you mad that I broke my promise?” Alex stroked his son’s head with a pained expression on his face. 

“Don’t leave from now on, Daddy. Stay with me, okay? I don’t want to stay at home by myself. I’m scared.” Stanley gave his father a pleading look. 

He did not dare to tell his father what had happened that day for fear that Kate would sell him to that place. If it came to that, his limbs would be severed like those children, and he would be forced to beg on the streets.
