Chapter 1068 Death
“Y-You despicable man! When did you poison me?” Barry clutched his chest, feeling some kind of power continuously eroding his heart. That sensation was like he would stop breathing and die at any moment.
He was under the assumption that he held an absolute advantage in that fight. Little did he expect he would fall for Hadriel’s trickery in the end. Hence, there was no way Barry could accept that turn of events without getting enraged.
While he could endure the pain that the poison inflicted on his body, he couldn’t stop his Mortal Force from continuously draining away. No matter what he did, he couldn’t halt the loss of his Mortal Force,
In just a couple of minutes, Barry felt his Mortal Force was almost entirely depleted. He could barely stand with the last vestiges of his energy as he maintained his posture with incredible difficulty.
Seeing Barry coughing up blood, Hadriel grinned even more radiantly and spoke smugly. “Barry, so what if you have the strength of a second-phase Grandmaster? Only death awaits those who dare to defy my orders. If you wish to live, yield to me and obey my arrangements. Otherwise, you will die!”
The three sect leaders exchanged glances, their eyes full of fear when they looked at Hadriel. They were initially reluctant to submit to the new sect leader, especially since Hadriel was only in his early thirties.
However, after witnessing how Hadriel had easily subdued Barry, who was significantly stronger than, them, they couldn’t help but fear Hadriel.
Barry, who remained standing, was still struggling to persevere. If one were to look closely, one could see his legs shaking uncontrollably, and he might collapse onto the floor at any moment.
“How despicable! I didn’t expect the Snyder family to produce a disgraceful descendant like you who would resort to such lowly tactics. Because of your vile character, you are far inferior to your father and brother!” Barry balled his fists. The unwillingness to surrender after being set up by others motivated him to hold on.
Hadriel narrowed his eyes. His urge to murder Barry had reached its limit. Even if Barry chose to bow down to him at that moment, Hadriel would rather destroy that second-phase Grandmaster with his own hands.
What he hated most in his life was being compared to his younger brother and being told he was beneath Slade. I’m clearly better than Slade in all aspects, so why do others keep saying I’m inferior to him? Slade, that good- for-nothing younger brother of mine, is just a third-phase Master. On the other hand, I’ve become a Grandmaster at thirty years old. My talent is unmatched in the secret world, completely overshadowing Slade’s. Still, Dad focused all his attention on Slade, teaching him how to manage the sect and the art of interacting with others and handling matters. Dad had always shown his gentle side to Slade, yet he would constantly berate me. Even after I advanced to the Grandmaster Realm, I never received any acknowledgment from him!
The look in Hadriel’s eyes turned increasingly icy. In the blink of an eye, he appeared before Barry, brandishing a glinting dagger the next moment.
Gripping the dagger, Hadriel stabbed Barry without hesitation. A sense of satisfaction surged within Hadriel as he took in the elder’s anguished expression.
Hadriel fell into a frenzied state, pulling the dagger out and stabbing Barry again. Blood splattered everywhere and soaked Hadriel’s clothes. Still, he showed no sign of stopping.
“Keep talking, then! Didn’t you mention how I’m inferior to my good-for-nothing brother? Why don’t you elaborate further? Go on! Hahaha!” Hadriel repeatedly ran Barry through with the dagger while wearing a
