Chapter 1086 In Luck
-Boss, Boss, that’s the guy. He looks exactly like the person in the photo.” A blond-haired man pointed at a smoking man standing nearby while speaking to his boss in the car.
Hearing that, the dark-skinned and pot-bellied man in his fifties stepped out of the vehicle, wearing a large gold chain around his neck. That man was known by others as “Tigris.” He was none other than the person who communicated with Horace on the phone earlier.
Aligning his gaze in the direction his subordinate was pointing, Tigris indeed saw a young man in his twenties. That man’s profile was an exact match to the photo Horace had sent him. He was even wearing the same clothes as in the image.
Initially, he planned to have his men ask around for Alex’s whereabouts. Tigris didn’t expect to run into Alex so quickly. I’m in luck!
“F*ck! It’s really that guy. He looks no different from an ordinary toyboy. I brought over ten men with me this time. With this many people, I may even kill him if we hit him without holding back,” Tigris chirped. delighted to stumble into his prey then and there.
Alex stubbed out the cigarette in his hand and glanced in Tigris’ direction. He had merely stepped out to take a walk and clear his mind. Little did he expect he would run into people looking to trouble him.
Alex didn’t have to give that matter much thought to figure out that those people were likely hired by Horace to give him a hard time. Nevertheless, he didn’t take those hooligans seriously.
Besides, he wasn’t the only person who came out to take a walk.
The group of hooligans acted swiftly, surrounding Alex in the blink of an eye. After that. Tigris swaggered out from among the hooligans while staring at Alex.
“Are you the brat who offended Horace? Do you know he’s a friend of mine? A kept man like you should just stay at home. How dare you come out seeking death?” Tigris pounded his fist against Alex’s chest twice as he spoke, displaying a completely lack of respect toward the latter.
Alex brushed Tigris’ hand aside. Instead of getting mad, he laughed and said, “I don’t know you. Still, I suggest all of you to hurry up and leave. Otherwise, you may have to get on your knees and beg me for mercy later.”
“What? I can’t believe you’re so arrogant, Brat. I can cripple a weak man like you with a single punch, yet you think I’ll beg you for mercy? Are you out of your mind?” Tigris guffawed as if he had heard the funniest joke in the world. This good-for-nothing who’s living off of a woman is so boastful. Isn’t he afraid he will bring about his own doom with his big talk?
Once Tigris laughed, his subordinates followed suit. They all found Alex’s words hilarious. He’s talking to our boss, Tigris, a man with over a dozen followers! How dare this weak-looking brat utter something like that. He must be tired of living.
Alex didn’t mind their mockery. He could easily subdue those hooligans, but now that he had attained the Grandmaster Realm, his mastery over his strength wasn’t impeccable yet. If he accidentally killed someone over a small matter, the ensuing trouble would be unworthy.
At that thought, Alex glanced at his watch and said, “It’s almost time. Are you sure you’re not leaving?”
Hearing Alex’s words, Tigris was baffled. He was under the assumption that Alex must’ve been terrified to the point of losing his mind because of his large group of followers.
