Chapter 1141 Three Birds With One Stone
Alex left the room, leaving Eve all alone. She covered her face with both hands, screaming non-stop. Staggering to her feet, she shakily took out a small mirror.
When she saw the word etched on her face, she suffered an emotional breakdown. She forcefully threw the small mirror on the ground, covering her face with both hands and screaming. “My face, my face!”
The commotion there was already quite significant. By the time members of Leight Sect came to investigate, Alex was nowhere to be found.
Multiple large black craters filled the spacious ground, and a woman was screaming incessantly in the room not far away as if she had gone mad.
“What? Why is there a lunatic? Someone, hurry up and kick her out!” A person from Leight Sect ordered the servants.
In no time, five or six young people entered the room, picked up Eve, and threw her out of the Grant residence.
“Alex, when did you go out to get a haircut? And you even got a buzz cut, but I must say, it really suits you.. No matter what hairstyle you have, you always look handsome.” Zack laughed heartily, genuinely complimenting Alex.
Alex raised his hand and touched his bald head, feeling somewhat helpless. He didn’t know what else to say, so he could only silently pray for his hair to grow back soon.
Gulp, gulp.
Right then, Alex’s stomach growled. He had been out since early morning to check on the situation of Leight Sect and had even sparred with the two elders. It would be strange if he weren’t hungry now that it was already noon.
“Alex, haven’t you eaten yet? I just made some spaghetti, so have some to fill your stomach!” Zack served a plate of spaghetti bolognese on Alex’s table.
Alex expressed his gratitude and immediately started eating with his fork. As expected, the seemingly ordinary plate of spaghetti bolognese tasted incredibly delicious.
“Alex, where have you been? Don’t you know? Something big happened at Leight Sect! The lightning and thunder in the sky were so frightening. Even from far away, I was scared out of my wits. I wonder what on earth happened,” Zack said while peeling a potato.
A faint smile spread across Alex’s face. However, he decided not to tell Zack about what happened that day and casually replied, “Was it really that terrifying? I went out to do something. Unexpectedly, I missed such a spectacle.”
“It’s such a pity! This is the first time in my life that I’ve witnessed such an astonishing sight. It truly broadens one’s horizons. Leight Sect is indeed a place where deities reside,” said Zack.
“They won’t be able to stay much longer, and they’ll have to leave soon,” Alex uttered as he finished the last of the spaghetti. He stood up from the bench and wiped his mouth with great satisfaction.
“Hey, Alex, where are you going?” Zack asked curiously as he saw Alex about to leave.
“Im going back to sleep.” With that, Alex walked away.
“Sleeping in broad daylight?” Zack muttered to himself. He had been drinking all night yesterday, and although his head was throbbing with pain now, he still had to help out in the kitchen.
