“Soren, do you know any good cafes around here? We can’t just settle for anything when we finally get to see Jessica!” Veronica playfully linked arms with her cousin. 

“I know. We’re quite close to Del Costa. The Blue Mountain Coffee in there is particularly famous, but it’s only open to the residents. I have a friend who works at that café, though. He can help us get in.” 

Soren spoke with glee, his gaze subconsciously falling upon Jessica. He wanted nothing more than to thoroughly admire the rare beauty in front of him. 

“You’re amazing, Dear! You can actually get us into Del Costa. That’s so awesome! I’m falling more and more in love with you.” Veronica winked at Soren and even blew him a kiss, 

Jessica and Alex felt so awkward that they felt goosebumps all over their bodies. Nonetheless, they forced out a couple of dry laughs but said nothing.

“Anywhere is fine, as long as Jessica likes it,” Alex said casually. Now that Veronica had mistaken him for Jessica’s boyfriend by Veronica, Alex would definitely not embarrass Jessica. So, he decided to play this role to the best of his ability. 

“Jessica, did you two really take a taxi all the way here just to buy a Barbie doll? If that’s the case, you can ride in my boyfriend’s car. He drives a Land Rover, you know. It’s so comfortable to ride in a car worth. over a million.” Jessica said proudly. 

Jessica took out the car keys from her pocket and pressed the button. The headlights of the BMW parked by the road flashed. “There’s no need. I have a car. Alex and I can just ride in mine.” 

Veronica never expected that Jessica could actually afford a BMW, which left her somewhat astonished. However, when she thought of her own boyfriend driving a Land Rover, which was even more expensive. than the BMW, she felt better in no time.
