“Master, please! Please spare me! We were once classmates. If you spare me, I’ll agree to everything!”
Walt was bawling by then, the blood from his forehead merging with his tears and flowing down his cheeks. He looked unsightly.
When the others saw the arrival of the police, none dared to make a sound.
“Take them all back for investigation. I’m sure some of them have done stupid things before,” Alex said to the officers as he kicked Walt away from him.
Weren’t they enjoying themselves mocking me earlier? I’ll teach them a lesson today.
Upon hearing Alex’s words, the rest of the people in the room became distressed.
Alex had obliterated the Wallace family in minutes, and they were ants in comparison to the Wallace family.
Thus, many of them began pleading for mercy.
“Alex! Sir! We’re sorry! We shouldn’t have insulted you! I know we were acting like animals!”
Unfortunately, Alex did not even want to bother himself with them as he quietly stood at the side.
The police officers did not recognize Alex, but Alex’s words had them guessing his identity.
They were almost sure that Alex was the one who had been targeting the Wallace family.
Even the most powerful figure in the city was involved in the matter. Needless to say, the officers would not dare to mess with Alex.
“Take them all away,” the commanding officer ordered, and the rest of the officers escorted everyone out.
The officers did not recognize Heather, so they were about to arrest her as well.
Nevertheless, Alex said, “She’s my wife.”
The officer holding Heather jerked in surprise before he hastily let her go.
Heather felt as if she was in a dream as she watched the police escort the rest of the people out.
Meanwhile, Alex only glanced at the puddle of blood he had vomited earlier before quietly turning to
walk out.
“Alex!” Heather shouted through gritted teeth.
He stopped, but he did not turn around.
“You’re the one behind this, right?” she asked in a low voice.
“The richest man in Nebula City, Jack Sawyer, is the one behind this, including the collapse of the Wallace family,” Alex replied, his words half–truthful.
“What? Why would he help you?” Heather questioned.

Chapter 14 Debt Of Gratitude
“Because I saved his lite before. He had to pay the favor back,” Alex answered, still sounding unfeeling.
He saved his life before? The richest man is paying the favor back?
That, Heather believed.
Everything made sense with that, for she could not believe that Alex was the one behind the entire incident.
Only an influential figure like the billionaire Jack Sawyer was capable of crushing the Wallace family like a bug.
Is that the man backing you? Do you know he won’t help you out anymore now that his debt is repaid?
“I… just hope that you’ll work harder like you say you will.”
By then. Alex was out of the room. Jack was waiting outside.
“Mr. Jefferson.” Jack hastily greeted.
“Not bad. Alex nodded and patted Jack’s shoulder before leaving on his electric scooter.
Jack was thrilled by the compliment, and he only dared to lift his head after Alex was gone.
When Heather realized that Alex had left without waiting for her, she stomped her foot in anger.
“Hmph! Your smugness was unwarranted! You were only lucky enough to have saved the billionaire’s life! We’ll see if the billionaire’s going to help you out again after this!” Heather grumbled.
“Ma’am, my name is Jack Sawyer. It’s a pleasure to meet you,” Jack quickly introduced himself to Heather.
“What? You’re the richest man in Nebula City!” Heather gasped, wondering why Jack was talking to her.
“Ma’am, I heard that you’re in urgent need of thirty million. Our newly appointed chairman has expressed his desire to assist you.”
With that, he took out a written check of Four Seas Corporation and handed it to Heather.
“Ma’am, our chairman has told us that this thirty million isn’t a donation to the Jennings family. Once your family business has returned to its original track for a year, the money has to be returned to him. Otherwise, he’ll be collecting interest as well,” Jack relayed.
