Chapter 162
“You’re a smart man,” Alex snorted and proceeded to gaze at the young men who had been rounded up by Flynn and company.
Although their Mortal Forces weren’t that strong, Alex couldn’t afford to let them off the hook.
“The same goes for all of you. You either die, or you destroy your Mortal Force,” Alex said coldly. These young men had already accepted their fates after seeing Reuben destroy his own Mortal Force.
Without giving it a second thought, the group of them proceeded to hit the same vital point on their abdomens.
The moment their Mortal Force dissipated, they became equally weak and no longer posed as threats.
“Confiscate all of their communication devices and lock them up. Prepare them three meals a day as per usual,” Alex instructed Flynn.
“Roger,” Flynn nodded and proceeded to bring away Reuben and his men.
After they returned to the Sakura Club, Alex personally tended to Charlie’s injuries.
Ever since Charlie had fallen into the hands of Susan, he had undergone all kinds of inhumane torture and had his Mortal Force destroyed as well.
If it hadn’t been for the fact that his Mortal Force used to be extremely strong and that his body was much more sturdy than the average person, Susan would have killed him a long time ago.
Alex wrote a prescription and tasked Flynn with gathering the ingredients. He then personally boiled the medicine for Charlie.
Truth be told, although Charlie was Alex’s father’s butler when Alex was young, he seemed more like an uncle to Alex instead.
He had never viewed Charlie as a servant or a butler.
Charlie’s injuries were rather serious this time round. He wasn’t about to get better within the next few days.
After handing giving Charlie his medicine, Alex headed down to the basement below the Sakura Club.
In his hands was a bowl of the same medicine he had just given Charlie.
At that moment, Reuben lay weakly against the walls of the basement with his face pale and lips parched.
“Ask me whatever you want. I’ll tell you everything I know.” Reuben smiled wryly. Once he noticed Alex, he immediately knew what Alex wanted to do.
“You’re a smart man, Alex sneered as he placed the bowl of medicine in front of Reuben.
His original plan had been to offer Reuben this bowl of medicine in exchange for some information.
Now, it looked like that wasn’t necessary at all.
“It’s for internal injuries. You can drink it if you aren’t scared that it’s actually poison,” Alex taunted.
