“What’s going on?” Alex gripped Kate’s wrist tightly because he didn’t want to be slapped again. 

“I’m pregnant, you b*stard!” Kate gave him the death stare and gritted her teeth angrily.

Alex was stunned because he thought Kate would get a contraceptive pill after she left him that day. 

“What? You don’t believe it’s your child? You’re the only one I ever had sex with!” Kate glowered at Alex as tears streamed down her face. 

“No, I believe you. I’m just wondering, why didn’t you take a contraceptive pill?” Alex said bitterly. 

“How am I supposed to know that I will get pregnant so easily? What should I do now?” Kate yelled at him helplessly. 

She was horrified and flustered because she had no experience at all. 

“You should abort the baby.” He shrugged, believing that Kate wouldn’t give birth to the child. 

“B*stard! You jerk! You are the reason that I’m in this state! I hate you!” Kate cussed while hitting him in the chest. 

This time, he did not stop her as he felt frustrated too. 

This is too f**king ridiculous! We only did it once! 

Kate finally stopped hitting him when she got tired. She was definitely not going to give birth to Alex’s child, so there was no choice but to abort the baby. 

Alex brought her to a remote hospital to avoid being seen by acquaintances. 

After doing an ultrasound, electrocardiogram, and some tests, the doctor advised Kate to abort the baby after a week because she wasn’t in a good state before prescribing her some medicine. 

It was past seven o’clock at night when they left the hospital. Alex invited Kate to join him for dinner, but she rejected him in disdain, saying that he could not afford expensive dinners. 

Smiling politely, Alex sent Kate to her home and ate dinner at a roadside stall before going back. 

That night, Alex tossed and turned in bed but couldn’t fall asleep. 

The fling with Kate and her pregnancy was totally a mistake. However, he felt an inexplicable feeling when he thought of Kate aborting his child the next week. 

He finally fell asleep after a long night of wild thoughts. 

The next day, Kate called and asked him to take her to the hospital again because she wanted to do another checkup to make sure everything was fine. 

Alex went to the bank to fetch Kate, who was there to do some transactions.
