Due to the standoff between Louis and Maggie, Alex knew full well he and Tyrael were going to go head- to–head as adversaries. 

What he didn’t expect was Tyrael actually defended him. Regardless of whether Tyrael was truly a miracle healer or not, he had already garnered Alex’s respect. 

“Master Skyworth, you are not aware of the whole picture. My little cousin here is very naïve. Once, when she fell sick, she went all over the city looking for doctors thoughtlessly. She was even deceived a number of times!” Louis accused Maggie hurriedly, trying to defend himself. 

“Louis, what is the meaning of this?” Maggie cried out as she was trying to suppress her anger. 

Louis glanced at Maggie, taunting, “Maggie dearest, weren’t you deceived by some priest from the Mountain of the Beasts a couple of days ago? Am I lying?” 

“You…” Maggie sputtered, completely tongue–tied with humiliation.

Obviously, Louis has no idea about Alex’s powers. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have dared to speak this blatantly. 

“Look, I have no idea how you managed to fool my little cousin. But if you really think you can trick me, Louis, then I am sorry. These two beside me have come from a family of doctors. If you know what’s best for you, you will leave this place immediately. Otherwise, the moment we expose you for the imposter you are, I guarantee you’ll be in deep trouble.” 

It doesn’t matter if Alex is capable or not. I can’t allow Alex to heal my grandfather. There is no way I can let Maggie take even a slice of credit for herself! 

The expression on Maggie’s face was extremely grim. She never would had thought her cousin was this unreasonable. 

It has been no easy feat to invite Mr. Jefferson over. There is no way he is going to heal my grandpa now after how Louis has offended him. 

Maggie had absolute faith in Alex. He is obviously a secret Feng Shui Master despite his claims of only understanding a thing or two about Feng Shui. Also, he was probably just being modest when he said he didn’t know much about medicine, right?

Hearing Alex, Louis snorted, “That’s more like it,” finally stopping his aggression towards Alex. 

Maggie felt rather bad for him.

“He is on the second floor. Dr. Skyworth, please hurry upstairs!” The middle–aged man rushed him. 

With that, Louis ushered Tyrael and Auriel hurriedly up to the second floor. 

Maggie called Alex along as well, all of them rushed upstairs.
