Alex accepted the toast graciously because he was quite comfortable around them. 

After the toast, Alex suddenly thought of something and handed Auriel a bottle of medicine as he said, “I didn’t prepare a gift, so please don’t mind this bottle of Small Pills of Cultivation.”
