“Mr. Jefferson, this Bugatti Hermes Special Edition is on display tomorrow at the Nebula International Auto Show. I’ve already placed an order in advance and it can be collected tomorrow.” Maggie gave the smart bracelet key to Alex. 

An ordinary Bugatti cost about twenty million, but a Bugatti Hermes Special Edition cost double the price. It was the king of luxury cars and there was only one in Nebula City and that belonged to Maggie. 

Everyone was a little surprised at Maggie’s generous offer. 

Alex wanted to refuse as he was contented with his R8. A Bugatti sports car was too conspicuous for a low- profile person like him. 

But on second thought, he nodded and accepted it, lest Maggie overthink. 

“Mr. Jefferson, this is the key to a hilltop villa at Mount Blossom. The house is ready and you can move in any time. It’s just a little gift from me. Please, you must accept this, Mr. Jefferson,” Stefan chimed in as he quickly took out a set of keys. 

The hilltop villa on Mount Blossom was a single–family mansion. It covered a wide area and was worth about fifty million. 

Seeing that Stefan was being so generous as well, Maggie couldn’t help but cock an eyebrow as a tinge of animosity rose from the depth of her heart.

“I’m really sorry, Dr. Jefferson,” Tyrael piped up in embarrassment after seeing the luxurious gifts Maggie and Stefan had presented. “I do have a few antiques, but none of them are with me now. I…” 

“Don’t compete with them, Dr. Skyworth,” Alex smiled as he waved his hands. “The herbs that you gave me that day are priceless. I should be the one to thank you.” 

“As long as you think it’s useful, I’ll send them to you if I were to come across any medicine of such quality in the future, Dr. Jefferson,” Tyrael beamed. 

Alex nodded. “Sure. And I’ll keep you in mind whenever I make my pills.” 

“Thank you very much, Dr. Jefferson,” said Tyrael quickly. 

Alex looked at the car key, then the key to the hilltop villa. “Please don’t gift me with such fancy things in the future,” he said with a smile. “But I’d appreciate it if you’d spend that money on getting me the best herbs.” 

Maggie and Stefan nodded hastily, while Stefan said, “Don’t worry, Mr. Jefferson. My father–in–law is engaged in the herbs business. I’ll ask him to watch out and save the best herbs for me and I’ll make sure to offer him a good price for it.” 

“Mr. Jefferson, I’ll be sure to place the highest bid the next time someone auctions a high–quality herb,” Maggie added. 

Alex nodded. They are not short of money, anyway. It doesn’t matter if I get their help in finding me the best herbs. I’ll just repay them by giving them more good medicine when the time comes. 

“All right. Let’s eat,” Alex announced before turning to the waiter. “Replace the dishes with warm ones.”
