“I brought the money you wanted Where is Lucas Alex pulled an ATM card our of his pocket and asked 

Scarred Face reached out for the ATM card instinctively the moment he saw it. However, Alex retractes! his hand and kept the ATM card back into his pocket. 

“I want to see Lucas first. I will hand this card over to you after you let him go.” 

Scarred Face scowled at him as Alex was the first person who dared negotiate terms with him. 

The only reason stopping Scarred Face from killing Alex and snatching the ATM card away from him was that he thought the woman standing behind Alex looked exquisitely beautiful. 

Boss might be pleased to see her. Scarred Face brought both of them to the top floor of the casino at that thought 

The top floor of the casino was extravagantly designed to appeal to VIP guests. 

A slightly plump, middle-aged man was sitting on a sofa in the middle of the room. He was getting intimate with a young lady who looked to be in her twenties while two rows of bodyguards stood on each side of the sofa. 

Not far from them, Lucas was slammed down on a table. 

His face fell when he saw Alex. “Why did my sister send a loser like you over? What are you doing here? Are you here to watch these people beat me to a pulp?” 

He ended up in this state because he was betrayed by the people he thought were his friends. Moreover, the young lady sitting beside the middle-aged man on the sofa used to be his girlfriend. 

Lucas ended up in the casino because the young lady egged him on to gamble. When he saw his friends winning, he jumped right in. 

At first, things went really well, and he won hundreds of thousands. However, the problem with him was that he didn’t know when to stop. His ex-girlfriend, Emily, even persuaded him to raise his bets. 

Slowly but surely, he started to lose all the money he had won. He wanted to stop, but Emily managed to convince him that he would make a comeback real soon. 

Convinced he was going to strike it rich. Lucas ended up borrowing one million from loan sharks through Emily’s connections. 

Nevertheless, he lost all of his money within a short period of time and was gripped with panic and fear. After all, the Jenningses weren’t as rich and powerful as before.

Alex let it slide because he knew how Lucas was. He wouldn’t even bat an eyelid even if Lucas died in front of him if the latter wasn’t Stanley’s uncle. 

However, that didn’t mean Maggie was going to let him get away with it. She tugged Alex’s shirt and snapped, “Why do you even bother with such people? He deserves to get beaten to death. Let’s get out of here!”
