Chapter 827 Return To Nebula City
After the banquet was over, Giles asked Alex again if the latter would accept his granddaughter. It wasn’t until Alex rejected his request again that Giles finally shut up about it.
Richard had hoped that Alex would stay in Lumenopolis for a few more days to keep him company, but Alex said no to that as well.
He had promised Heather that he would return to Nebula City on the fifteenth to take care of their divorce procedures.
The next day. Alex and Maggie bought flight tickets back to Nebula City. The two of them had gotten a lot closer after the incident in Lumenopolis,
After getting seated on the plane, she rested her head on Alex’s shoulder and clung tightly to his arm.
Instead of brushing her arm off. Alex simply let her be and stared at the clouds outside the window with a heavy feeling inside his heart.
“This all feels like a dream to me. If this is a dream, then I wish I never have to wake up from it.” Maggie looked up at Alex and tightened her grip on his arm. “Tell me, Alex Am I dreaming right now?”
As Alex was lost in thought earlier, he didn’t hear what Maggie said.
“Huh? I’m sorry. What did you just say?” he asked with a confused look on his face.
Maggie got a little unhappy that he wasn’t paying attention to what she said, but she repeated herself anyway, “You’re being so nice to me now that it feels like I’m dreaming”
Surprised that Maggie would think she was dreaming, Alex gave her a pinch on the nose and asked, “Does this hurt? Do you still think this is a dream?”
Maggie smacked his hand aside and shot him an annoyed glare. That pinch really hurts! Can’t you be a little more gentle with me? Honestly, you’re so dense!”
“Do you still think you’re dreaming, then?” Alex asked with a chuckle.
Maggie shook her head. “It hurts really badly, so there’s no way I’m dreaming!”
Huh…. I don’t think I pinched her that hard, though. Her face isn’t really chubby, but it still feels soft to the touch! Speaking of touch, I still recall how it felt when I accidentally touched her breasts at Sakura Club the other day.
Alex found himself shifting his gaze toward Maggie’s chest at the thought of that, but he was quick to look away and reminded himself to not be so perverted
Flynn and Stanley picked them up at the airport after they got off the plane. Alex felt nothing but guilt when he picked Stanley up and carried him in his arms.
He was about to divorce Heather, so he knew that their relationship was coming to an end. Even so, he felt really bad for Stanley, who would end up suffering the most because of their divorce.
Flynn was the one driving them on the way back. Alex rode shotgun while Maggie and Stanley sat in the back of the car. Although the two of them had never niet each other before, they were able to get along surprisingly well
