The meeting was scheduled for noon at Happy Living. Out of courtesy, Alex arrived fifteen minutes in advance and waited for the owner of Regenerateur Enterprises. 

Even when noon came, there was no sign of the owner of Regenerateur Enterprises. Jessica phoned him to inquire about the situation, upon which Aiden claimed that something suddenly came up at the company, so he was tied up with work. 

She suggested meeting another day since he was busy, but the man said he would be done in a moment and asked them to wait for a while. 

It would have been better if they had not agreed, for they waited for about an hour before Aiden walked in unhurriedly. Upon spotting Alex, who wore a dark look on his face, he declared smilingly, “I’m really sorry to have kept you waiting, Mr. Jefferson,” 

“It’s okay. I asked for a meeting this time to inquire about Regenerateur Enterprises” intentions, Mr. Ward. If you’re not interested in a collaboration, Four Seas Corporati blacklist your company completely in the future.” Alex cut straight to the chase, havi plans to exchange pleasantries with the man before him.

Unperturbed, Aiden sat down. Crossing his legs, he scrutinized Alex. It was his first time meeting the chairman of Four Seas Corporation, and he could not resist giving the man a second glance. 

The longer he stared at Alex, the more he found the latter familiar. He could not shake off the feeling that he had seen the man somewhere, yet he could not remember it. 

Leaning forward, he studied Alex carefully. The sense of familiarity intensified after he had eyeballed the man for a while. Yet, he could not recall where they had met. 

Thus, he asked, “Have we met somewhere, Mr. Jefferson? For some reason, I find you very much familiar.” 

Upon hearing that, Alex could not quite fathom what the man was trying to do. It was the first time they were meeting, and he could say for sure that he had never met Aiden before. 

“Are you deliberately changing the subject by ingratiating yourself to me?” he countered. with a quirk of his brow.
