Chapter 970 Pulling Her Leg
Aiden’s heart was filled with intense fear, his legs trembling even as he knelt on the ground. He shivered uncontrollably, reaching a point where he ended up wetting himself.
His pants were soaked with urine, and a small pool of yellow liquid formed on the ground, accompanied by a foul stench that permeated the air around him.
Elsa, who stood close to him, instantly took a few steps back upon noticing that, her beautiful eyebrows furrowing in disdain toward him. How could a grown man be so frightened by merely having a gun pointed at him? He’s so scared that he even wet himself. How pathetic.
With those thoughts in mind. Elsa instinctively turned her gaze to Alex. She remembered over a year ago, Alex confronted a group of robbers in a bank, showing no fear at all. He even dared to take a bullet for someone else.
In comparison, Elsa could not help but look down on Aiden. They’re both men, yet they’re quite the opposite of
each other.
At that point. Aiden could care less about his dignity. Wetting himself was not a big concern anymore. In fact, it was not the first time he had wet himself out of fear. Survival was now his top priority.
“M-Madam, could you please put your gun away? I’ll be gone if you accidentally fire a shot at me! I don’t want to die, please. I’ll do anything you say. But please put down the gun first!” Aiden pleaded while kneeling on the ground, his tone filled with desperation.
He completely lost his demeanor as the owner of a big company, portraying the epitome of a cowardly and self-preserving individual.
Elsa grew even more frustrated when she saw the loser in such a state. After putting away her gun, she gestured for the other cops to go over.
Soon, the uniformed officers escorted the troublemakers inside the building to their vehicles.
As the police cars disappeared into the distance, Elsa shifted her gaze toward Alex. Shedding the stern look on her face, she now wore a gentle smile.
“Alex, why did you call me when you could have easily dealt with these small fries yourself? Did you do this to create an opportunity to meet me? Do you miss me?” Elsa quipped while tilting her head.
Alex was taken aback by the sudden change in the demeanor of the female police officer, who had previously appeared poised and authoritative.
Alex responded with a faint grin and said, “It’s the end of the month, right? You need to show your boss. you did something.”
From the humorous videos he had seen, Alex learned that some individuals would go to great lengths to meet their performance targets before the New Year.
Of course, Alex was pulling Elsa’s leg. He just wanted the cops to teach Aiden a lesson.
“Who wouldn’t miss a beautiful police officer? With your looks, I’m sure you have hundreds of admirers,” Alex uttered with a smile.
Although Alex’s remark was meant as a polite gesture, it was not surprising to think that someone as attractive as Elsa would have numerous admirers, perhaps even close to a hundred.
Alex’s compliment made Elsa blush, and being praised by someone she had feelings for was truly a delightful experience.
