Hearing this, Alex scrutinized the man. It was suspicious that this man would suddenly appear with such crucial information when he was at a loss. 

The man noticed the puzzled expression on Alex’s face and decided to clear the air. “I’m the one who took the woman you’re looking for. 

As he confessed this, he saw flames of anger igniting in Alex’s eyes. Fearing that Alex might lash out at him, he hurriedly explained, “Please don’t misunderstand. Aiden promised to pay me to do his bidding. but he went back on his words once I was done with his dirty work. When I learned that you were looking for Aiden, I rushed over without a second thought, hoping to offer you a clue.” 

Observing the man’s swollen, injured face, Alex could imagine how Aiden had treated him. Alex reckoned that the man was only here to seek his assistance in teaching Aiden a lesson. 

An enemy’s enemy was considered a friend. At this point, Alex couldn’t be bothered to berate the man for his role in Jessica’s abduction. After all, the entire plot had been orchestrated by Aiden. 

“Lead the way! Quickly!” Alex commanded with a stern voice. 

The man dared not dawdle. He climbed into the car and began to guide the way. An hour into the journey, the route took them further into the outskirts of Nebula City, a remote and desolate area where no other vehicle was in sight. 

“My little beauty, your beloved Mr. Jefferson could never imagine finding you here, no matter how hard he searches for you. Be a lamb. Once you’ve pleased me and my twenty other lackeys, you’ll be free to go. How does that sound?” Aiden gripped Jessica’s chin and greedily appraised her appealing figure. 

If he hadn’t been so preoccupied the previous night, Aiden would have had his way with Jessica by now. 

Alex Jefferson, I bet you never saw this coming! How dare you cross me. Not only will I drain your bank account, but I’ll also have fun with your little beauty. 

Jessica’s body bore the clear evidence of cruel interrogation, with bruises and scars marring her skin, which were all Aiden’s doing. 

His derogatory taunt filled her with a burning rage, and she glared at him viciously. If looks could kill, Aiden would have met his end thousands of times over by now. 

“Mr. Jefferson has paid you the money. What else do you want?” Jessica spat, her voice thick with disgust. 

Aiden pursed his lips and patted Jessica’s face. “I told him to pay, but I never said I’d let you go. Is it my fault that he can’t find you after hours and hours of searching? Even if he turns Nebula City upside down, he wouldn’t be able to find this place. How about you stop fighting and just give in, my dear? That tantalizing body of yours had me drooling since yesterday.” 

Jessica knew what Aiden had in mind from his lecherous stare. She tried to resist but to no avail, for her hands and feet were firmly bound. 

“If you dare lay a hand on me, Alex will never let you off,” she threatened, fervently hoping that he would back down since that was the only option left for her. 

Upon hearing this, Aiden rewarded her with a forceful slap, his voice seething with fury, “Who the hell is Alex? Are you still hoping he’ll come to your rescue? Accept me and save yourself from more pain.” 

The slap made Jessica’s world spin, and by the time she managed to regain her senses, Aiden was already tearing at her clothes.
