Aiden was still in a state of disbelief, struggling to comprehend the sudden turn of events. Before he could gather his thoughts, his henchmen were already overpowered and subdued by a group of men who seemingly appeared out of thin air. 

Aiden himself was then apprehended and brought before Alex. 

Not fully grasping the gravity of the situation, Aiden questioned with a hint of disbelief, “How did you manage to find us? It’s impossible. There’s no way you could have tracked us down!” 

Right after he said that, he noticed a familiar person among Flynn’s men. Staring intently at the man, he soon recognized that this man was the very one who kidnapped Jessica the other day. 

“Oh, so it was you who sold me out. I was wondering how Alex found me. Turns out you brought him here!” 

Aiden’s cheeks flushed red in anger as he got up instinctively, intending to teach the man a lesson. 

He had conveniently forgotten how he had gone back on his words and even beat that man up. If he wasn’t too out of line, this wouldn’t be happening to him. 

Flynn rubbed his ears wordlessly. Aiden’s end is near, but he still wants to teach someone else a lesson. What a fool. 

He delivered a kick to Aiden’s chest and snapped, “Can you shut the f*ck up? You’re giving me a headache. 

Turning to Alex, he asked, “Alex, how are you going to deal with him?” 

Alex’s expression was grim as he demanded, “Were you the one who caused her injuries?” 

“Well… Well…” Aiden’s voice faltered as he struggled to find the right words. Blinking nervously, he attempted to butter Alex up. “Mr. Jefferson, I take full responsibility for my actions. I will return the one billion to you and gift you with a prettier woman. Can you please overlook this one incident?” 

No matter how much Alex cared for Jessica, Aiden assumed that Jessica was just a pretty secretary to Alex who could be replaced with a prettier woman. 

He had barely finished speaking when a tight slap landed on his cheek, followed by another slap. Alex had stepped forward to slap him repeatedly. 

Aiden’s face swung left and right under the force of Alex’s slaps, and he was unable to fight back. 

When Alex finally stopped slapping Aiden, the latter’s head continued swinging involuntarily. He didn’t even realize Alex had stopped.
