Spoiled by Mr Russell (Lily Christian and Alexander) novel Chapter 2373

“Ross, you're not as young as you used to be. How could you not understand?” Yasmin looked helpless. "Sacrifices are always necessary to accomplish great things. Countless died to build our country’s foundation.

“As the crown prince, how could you not understand that?" she stressed as if teaching him how to be a king. "These sacrifices are nothing compared to the great achievements we're about to make."

Disappointed, Ross asked, "So you admit that you allowed Fred to do all that?"

Still, Yasmin remained indifferent. "I only knew about it. I never asked him to do those things."

She did not feel guilty. If she had stopped Fred, he would know he had lost her trust. By then, he might not have devoted himself to researching immortality. Simultaneously, Yasmin knew she had to give him some perks in return for his service.

Otherwise, Fred would never have worked so hard for it.

"You only knew about it?!" Ross slammed the table angrily. "You indulged him! Didn't you see how many innocent people died and suffered during the pandemic? Even those in the palace got infected!"

He had traveled around Yudonia, shocked and agonized by what he saw. Now, he felt worse knowing everything had happened because his mother had allowed it. She could have prevented it instead.

"Ross, that was an accident. No one wanted it to happen," Yasmin murmured after sighing.

"An accident? So you're saying it's not your fault at all? So it's okay to sacrifice everything, including me and Yudonia, for the sake of your so-called great achievements?" He glared, determined to get an answer.

Yasmin looked at him intensely and sighed again, saying, "I can't talk to you now since you've gotten too worked up. Why don't you rest first? Or return to Yudonia?"
