Chapter 522 Upon entering the house, Lily was about to change out of her shoes whien Alexander unexpectedly crouched down and helped her.

Lily was startled and subconsciously retracted her sect. “Wliat are you doing?”

“Let me help you with your shoes,” he raised liis head and answered naturally. However, there was nothing natural about this, and Lily felt highly uncomfortable. “It‘s fine. I can do it mysell!”

Then, she quickly changed out of her shoes, feeling the pressure from behind her. Looking back, she saw Brandon and the woman at the door. The woman‘s gaze was almost murderous. If looks could kill, Lily would have been dead.

The uncomfortable feeling in Lily grew as she frowned slightly. Then, slie put on her slippers and got herself a water bottle. “Come in,” Alexander ushered casually. Only then did Lily notice that the servants that usually left after cleaning were still there.‘ What‘s Alex planning? One of the servants quickly brought over a pot of tea, but only with two cups. They were placed in front of Alexander. Obviously, the drinks were for Alexander and Lily and not the two guests.

Alexander was doing this on purpose!

Lily stood at the island‘s edge with her drink and shot him a glance. She had no idea what he was doing. Although she had no idea who the woman was, she quickly pieced it together.

That woman that came with Brandon seemed hostile toward Lily. Looking at how she dressed, Lily guessed that she must be Brandon‘s younger sister, Brittany. On top of that, the bruises on her face were still noticeable, although she had tried to conceal them with makeup. It seemed that Olivia wasn‘t exaggerating when she said she had the upper hand.

Before she could finish speaking, Brittany pinched him hard, causing him to groan in pain. “What do you mean ‘wife‘? What nonsense are you talking about?!” “Brittany!” Brandon was helpless. They had come over to apologize, yet she was still acting like this. “Seeing that you‘re not here to apologize, i‘ll get my servant to send you off,” Alexander said coldly with a wave of his hand.

“That‘s not–”

Brandon was about to speak, but Brittany interjected, “Why should I apologize? It‘s me who was beaten up. Alex, can‘t you tell?!” She then stood up abruptly and took a few steps forward, almost touching Alexander‘s legs.” Look! Look at my face! I‘m almost disfigured! Can‘t you see?! How could you be so heartless?! Alex, we grew up together. Now, you‘d push me aside for another woman?!”
