Someone even told her Archie’s background was even more complicated and powerful.
But she could never feel that in her daily life.
Natalia wasn’t sure whether she was thinking too much about it. She sometimes just felt she couldn’t understand Archie.
She knew he loved her deeply and would never hurt her. But she just couldn’t fully understand him.
She couldn’t forget that one afternoon, she was sitting in front of the French window of the tea room, drinking tea and reading. Without her knowing it, Archie stood at the door.
When she finally felt it, she turned around and saw him staring at her.
But his look was very strange. He seemed to look at her, but actually looked through her to a far place or another person.
Natalia knew she shouldn’t think too much about it. He loved her, and everyone was aware of that.
But she just couldn’t help it. Every time she remembered that moment, she felt his look put great pressure on her. She was so tired, but couldn’t get rid of it.
She was reluctant to ask him about it, because she lacked a good reason. It was just a look after all.
But she clearly knew he was hiding something from her. This was her sixth sense as a woman, her instinct.
She couldn’t ask about it, nor carry out an investigation.
As soon as she conducted an investigation, he would know it. Even if she found out any information, how should she deal with it if it was bad news?
Natalia was merely scared.
She really cherished her hard-won happiness, and she didn’t want her peaceful life to be ruined again.
So she chose to know nothing, as if nothing was wrong.
This time, she finally made up her mind to learn the truth of what happened on the ocean nine years ago.
She didn’t tell Archie she took part in the auto racing competition because she had worries.
She was worried it might cause a bad result if he knew.
It was just her instinct.
Thinking of that, Natalia remained silent.
Nancy said nothing, and only gave a light sigh.
The car soon arrived at the hotel. They got out of it. Once they were back in the room, Natalia called Felix.
It was 6 pm, but it should be midnight where Felix was in.
When her call was answered, she heard a weak voice. Felix sounded mad after being interrupted from his sleep.
“Yeah.”
“I won the championship!”
Natalia didn’t care whether he was asleep or not. He couldn’t care less about her feelings normally, so it was a great chance to take revenge.
Accompanied by a rustling sound, he seemed to get up.
Afterward, his voice became clearer.
“You got it? Send me the picture of the trophy.”
Natalia was struck dumb for a second, then sneered, “What? You don’t believe me? You think I’m lying?”
Felix smiled, “Well, you’re my student. If I don’t believe you, I’ll be questioning my own abilities. Alright, no time to talk. Just send me the picture.”
