The person on the bed, of course, remained unmoving.
She waited for a while, and when she saw that Archie did not respond, she curiously reached out to touch his forehead.
However, the hand was still in mid-air when the man who was lying on the bed, motionless, suddenly opened his eyes and took her wrist in his grip with a swish.
It was an expression that was unmistakably foreign to Natalia.
It's like looking at someone you never knew, or, for that matter, an enemy.
Natalia's heart smiled bitterly.
Indeed, isn't she the enemy to Archie now?
After all, although she didn't know what had happened, she could tell from what had happened before that Archie was after Clinton and that she had, by mistake, saved him.
So, she has nothing to complain about.
Natalia pursed her lips, forcibly holding back the strange feeling she felt when facing his eyes, and asked, "You're awake? How do you feel? Are you uncomfortable anywhere?"
Archie coldly took her hand away and sat up.
"What is this place?"
He glanced around and asked in a mute voice.
Perhaps because of the injury, his voice is through an abnormal hoarseness.
Natalia was a little confused, "You don't know either? I thought your people rescued us up, you should know where this is."
"My people?"
Archie gave her an odd look, "My what?"
Natalia froze.
Immediately after, his somewhat lowered voice was heard, "My men died long ago on the ship."
Natalia shook hard!
"So, they're not ..."
Realizing what was going on, she snapped her mouth shut.
Archie didn't say a word, observed the instruments attached to his body, and also reached out to remove the tube before putting on his jacket and heading out.
Natalia rushed to follow.
There was still no one outside, but this time, perhaps because Archie was there, she did observe something different.
For example, there seemed to be a faint red light sweeping through the air, and she knew that it was the infrared light of induction.
Archie said in a cold voice, "Stay close and do what I do."
"Oh."
Natalia obediently answered and followed him, step by step, out the door.
In about five minutes, the two walked outside.
Archie took a janitor's shirt from somewhere and tossed it to her, told her to change into it, changed into another identical one herself, then pulled two garbage carts from the building and walked out together with their heads down.
It wasn't a tough ride out.
The two were soon outside, and Archie gave her a look and said in a deep voice, "Are you coming with me, or are you going back on your own?"
Natalia then realized that she was safe.
So, she shook her head.
"I'll go back on my own."
Although the real Natalia's mind is to follow Archie, this way, she can know, what Archie is really doing.
But the words that come out of her mouth are not up to her.
It was at this time that Natalia realized that although she was now back in the past, she was, in fact, only a bystander.
What happened back then, she could only watch, and could not make any changes.
Archie nodded and didn't say anything, turned around and got in the car.
Natalia also hailed a cab from the side of the road and took a cab to the school.
