After she thought about it, Vickie felt relieved.
“Alright, since you’ve mentioned that, I shall not worry. You guys can try to wait it out. If he has any movements, let me know immediately. Gregory and I will rush to you right away.”
“Okay.”
After they talked about this, Nell asked, “What’s your situation in Southern Yunnan?”
When she mentioned this, Vickie’s face turned bright and happy.
“There’s good news. The message was true. There’s definitely a piece of the Arcane Jade but the process can be a bit of trouble. It’s not too big of a deal, it just takes some time, that’s all.”
Nell nodded. “That’s good.”
The few of them started to chat a while more before they hung up.
After they hung up, Nell looked at the portrait on her phone and still could not believe it.
“I can’t believe it. Initially, I was just trying to get Vickie to investigate this, but it actually is him!”
Gideon was surprised too.
Before this, he just felt this person was more than what he seemed to be. The person did not look ordinary but Gideon had not thought this person was Jeff Flinders.
When he thought about the moment Jeff Flinders had deliberately approached Nell and Lizzy, Gideon’s eyes could not help to darken.
Nell asked, “You said he tried so hard to approach us, why do you think he did that?”
Gideon shook his head strongly.
“I don’t know.” He paused, then said in a deep voice, “Alright, don’t think too much. I’ll handle this matter, okay?”
Nell nodded.
Promptly, Gideon made a phone call and instructed someone to follow Jeff Flinders’ whereabouts.
On the surface, it looked like Gideon and Nell had brought both of their children here.
Realistically, Nell knew that Gideon always had someone in the background, silently following them and protecting them.
If they got into any trouble, that person would instantly jump out and be their last protective barrier.
After Gideon gave his instruction, Nell did not think too much. She quickly washed up and went to sleep.
This time, on the other side.
In this hotel room, a young, handsome man was standing in front of the window.
The windows were opened widely at about over ten floors high. The night wind blew in, bringing a cold and empty feeling of the desert.
He closed his eyes, smelled the wind that brought along the odor of sand, and breathed in deeply.
It was… A long time since he had smelled this.
Nobody would have known, the person in front of them had not only been here before but he came here a long, long time ago before anyone even existed.
During that time, this place was still deserted. He came here by chance and saw that large piece of cracked boulder.
Yes, even though everyone was worshipping this myth and this boulder, no one would have believed this boulder existed.
He saw it with his own eyes. The woman was sitting naked in the center of the boulder, with a shocked and startled face.
She looked just like the deer that he had hunted, who lost its partner when he went hunting previously.
