Gideon’s subordinates glanced at him again.
Jeff had no choice but to let his subordinates release Gregory, Gideon, and Vickie.
However, Nell and Cathy were still in his hand.
Knowing how deep Gideon’s feelings were for Nell, Jeff was sure that Gregory would never stand by and allow something to happen to Nell.
So as long as Jeff kept Nell under his control, he did not need to worry if Gideon would play tricks.
Gideon nodded imperceptibly when his subordinates cast a questioning glance at him again.
His subordinates’ faces turned cold as they handed over the box containing the Arcane Jades to Jeff.
Jeff’s eyes started to glow when he saw the box.
Greediness appeared on his face as Jeff raised his hand and received the box. Once he opened the box, all he saw was the three Arcane Jades that Gideon had snatched from him before.
Found it!
He finally found it!
At last, Jeff’s Zenzen could be saved. He had waited for so many years, and finally, the day that he could reunite with Zenzen was here.
He was so happy that he almost cried.
Jeff looked at Gideon and the others before he turned and ran out when nobody was paying attention.
Gregory was the first one to react as he subconsciously took a huge step forward and chased him.
However, Gideon stopped him.
“Don’t chase!”
Gregory turned and looked at him in confusion.
Then, Gideon looked at his subordinates.
“Are the things installed?”
His subordinates nodded. “It’s on.”
“Follow him, see where he went.”
“Yes.”
After all of his subordinates had left.
Only then did Gregory and Vickie react by asking curiously, “What did you do?”
Gideon smiled softly. “Nothing much, just some tricks. You’ll know later.”
He did not explain in detail, but Gregory could see that he had planned something early on, so he was relieved.
At this moment, a woman’s grunting voice suddenly came from the side.
When Gideon looked back, his face changed immediately.
Nell was holding onto her stomach with her waist bent as she crouched on the ground. Cathy, who was beside her, was supporting her helplessly and frantically.
“Nelly!”
Gideon shouted and held onto Nell. She looked at him and yelled, “My stomach… My stomach hurts.”
There was blood running down her legs.
Gideon looked at it nervously before he carried her and dashed out.
“Get the car ready. We’re going to the hospital!”
Since they were in the desert, the facilities were terrible and the hospital nearest to them was just a small health center in the town.
Gideon’s eyes were red as he looked at Nell, who was lying on the sickbed.
“Nelly, hold on. I’ll call Sean, don’t worry.”
Nell held his hand tightly. She was in such excruciating pain that she could not even utter a word.
Since Gideon did not dare to leave her side, he let Cathy call Sean instead.
Luckily, Sean knew where Cathy and Nell were, so he was already on his way there.
They reached the hospital in about half an hour.
Sean? Where was Sean?
Sean got to know how serious Nell’s situation was through the phone while he was on his way and because of that, Sean was a little anxious when he came over.
The people who were crowding the corridor automatically stepped aside and left a path for him, where Gideon rushed forward and grabbed Sean.
“She’s in the operation theatre. I don’t trust the doctors here. Uncle Miller, I’m counting on you, you must…”
Sean waved his hand. “Don’t worry, I understand.”
After he finished, Sean changed his attire and went into the operation theatre.
Looking at his empty hands, Gideon looked blank for a second. Only after a while did he quickly follow Sean into the operation theatre.
