Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 115

A furrow formed on her downcast face.

“There’s no need for that. it was nothing. You should keep the money.”

Nell rescued Lizzy because fate brought them together and she had taken an immediate liking to the little girl. It was never about the money.

There was an indistinct gleam in the old lady’s eyes.

Instead of pushing the envelope, the old lady smiled and said, “If that’s the case, I really have to thank you!”

Nodding, Nell was ready to stride away when out of the sudden, Lizzy tugged her by the sleeve.

She lowered her head to meet the gaze of the young child’s supple face. Craning her neck, the little girl was the embodiment of innocence and adorability.

Nell’s ill humor was quickly lifted. Tugged at the heart, she hunched over and softly spoke, “What’s wrong?”

“Mommy, will we meet again?”

Nell smiled.

It seemed that she was not only the one unwilling to part, the girl was sharing the same feelings for her.

However, their paths may not intertwine again.

Nonetheless, she did not have the heart to break the news to her. Hence, she reached out to shuffle her hair before answering, “We’ll meet again if destiny brings us together.”

“Can you leave your phone number? I’ll call you when I have the time, is that okay?”

Nell was taken aback.

The old lady chimed in. “Yes, yes, yes. The child is fond of you! Please leave your number. She’ll be able to keep in touch with you when she misses you.”

Nell gave it a thought and felt that it was a good idea.

Thus, she revealed her phone number to the young child.

Nell was twitching by the corner of her eyes watching as the young child solemnly saved her contact under “Mommy” on her grandmother’s phone.

This young child really bought into her own words!

She wondered how the kid’s real mother would feel learning about the name saved in the contact list.

Nevertheless, Nell did not call for an amendment. She was unable to change the young child’s mind despite her multiple efforts last night, insisting she was not her mother. It was not as though she could make a difference now.

After leaving her phone number, Nell saw the grandparent and granddaughter combo out before driving to work.

On the other side, the young child and elder got into a car and saw Nell’s car off with an elated look on their faces.

“Grandma, I really found my mommy! She’s really my mommy!”

The old lady grinned. “Congratulations, Lizzy! Did you have a great time with mommy last night?”

Lizzy nodded heavily. “Yes, mommy is so soft and nice-smelling to hug. She told me a story too. Oh, her voice is beautiful. I really don’t want to part with mommy.”

The elder nodded. “I sounded her out just now. She’s really nice! Don’t worry, you don’t have to part with mommy anymore once your daddy’s back.

The young child frowned at the mention of her father.

“But daddy doesn’t know that we snuck out. Will he forgive me if he finds out?”

The old lady took a glance at her and gave her a meaningful smile.

“He will, don’t you worry.”

...

The same night, Gideon returned to Jincheng.

The maids in their household were coming back one after another at the end of their holidays.

Companies resumed their operations on the fifth day of Chinese New Year. It was business as usual.

Nell was already as busy as a bee at the start of the new year.

The reason was none other than the opening of an online variety talent show participated by a few Xinghui artists. Prior to the show, Nell arranged for them to join a high-end fashion show to boost their popularity.

This fashion show was organized by several top-notch designers in the nation. Newbies such as them were, of course, unqualified to enter but Nell managed to score a few slots and shoved them in.
