Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 141

“I’m sorry, but are you the guests of Room 6602?”

All three of them appeared shocked. The old lady replied hastily, “Um, we’re in a hurry. We can sort out whatever this is in a bit!”

With that, she hurried inside with Nell and Lizzy trailing behind.

The attendant blocked their path once more.

In addition to the lobby attendant, two security guards also stepped forward to position themselves in front of the ladies.

All three of them focused their gaze on the old lady in a serious manner. “I’m sorry, but you haven’t paid for the last two days of your stay. We only agreed to tolerate it because you promised earlier to sort out the payment as soon as possible. However, we failed to contact you since this morning. I’m afraid you and your great granddaughter cannot continue staying here if you don’t settle the outstanding payment by today.”

Nell was dumbfounded.

She turned to face the old lady.

An embarrassed expression was written all over the latter’s face.

“Um… I was planning to settle the payment today but I lost my wallet at dinner earlier. Can you please give us two more days? I promise to sort out the payment once I find my wallet.”

The attendant sighed helplessly.

“Madam, you’ve already used this excuse two days ago.”

“……”

The old lady was speechless.

Nell was definitely not expecting to witness such an embarrassing scenario.

Lizzy stepped forward to grab the attendant’s sleeve and tugged at it gently.

Her cute little head tilted backward as she regarded the lady innocently with her big rounded eyes.

“Beautiful Elder Sister, are Nana and I causing you too much trouble? I’m really sorry, but we really lost our wallet. You can ask Aunt Nelly about it. She can be our witness.”

A little finger suddenly pointed toward Nell.

“……”

She was at a loss for words.

Who could explain why all eyes were on her now?

What should she say?

Upon sensing Nell’s hesitation, the old lady quickly threw her a tactful glance.

Nell was angry and amused at the same time.

She had grasped hold of the situation by now. Looking straight past the old lady toward the lobby attendant, she enquired, “How much do they owe for the room?”

“It’s RMB 17,664 altogether for three nights.”

Nell nodded. Imperial Hotel was a luxurious holiday resort. It was natural that the bills would come up to a costly price.

Without commenting further, she retrieved her credit card right away.

“Here you go!”

The old lady said embarrassedly, “This… I’m really sorry.”

Nell twitched her lips but decided not to expose the old lady’s lies. She patted Lizzy gently on the head.

“It’s alright. See it as a gift for the child! We’ve met so many times but I haven’t given her any presents yet!”

A grin washed over Lizzy’s face as her eyes widened in delight. “Thanks, Aunt Nelly.”

The lobby attendant received Nell’s card and walked over to the reception.

“What’s your plan? Is there anywhere that you can go?” Nell asked the old lady once they sorted out the outstanding payment.

The old lady was extremely diffident. She tried to make herself as small as possible, the talkative side of her during dinner earlier had completely vanished. “Um, no.”

Nell hesitated. In actuality, she was secretly displeased about the old lady’s behavior.

Anyone could tell that losing her wallet and the talk about traveling were probably lies.

It was one thing that she had brought the child around to get free meals and free stays, not to mention selecting a prestigious hotel like this one. Nell understood that some people had it more difficult in life but this…

She sighed heavily because there was not much she could say anyway. She bent over to pick Lizzy up into her arms.
