Skylar had just finished a call with Gareth and it was not long before Celine’s call came in.

She was still hesitating over how to break the news to Celine! Now that Celine had brought it up, Skylar could not help but sigh.

“The person to play the female lead of Cannon Fodder Guide has been decided but it’s not you.”

“What?”

Celine turned pale in shock.

Her reaction came as no surprise. She was a popular celebrity after all. Even with the scandal, Celine had a huge fan base and was capable of attracting view ratings.

Here she was, swallowing her pride to act in an unknown web-series. It was really nothing if the other party wanted to put on airs and bring down the pay.

While Celine hit the roof, Skylar continued. “It’s nothing. It’s only a web-series so it’s fine if we didn’t get it. We can take a look at other scripts.”

“Easy for you to say!” Celine was aggravated. “It’s not like you don’t know what the situation is! Those major productions won’t even consider me whereas those unknown minor productions are either a war between a mother-in-law and her daughter-in-law or some third-rated cliche! Do you want me to act in those kinds of roles? Where does it put me in terms of character in the future?”

Celine had always played an innocent and elegant goddess of a public persona. The television dramas she was involved in often reflected heroine figures of high caliber.

If she were to stoop that low and act in a low-class mother and daughter-in-law combo drama, she would never be able to return playing protagonists on the big screen!

Skylar knew she made sense. In fact, if they could, they would not let this great script slip out of their hands.

“Then what do you think we should do?”

Celine drew a deep breath and took a minute before speaking in a gruff voice, “Who is playing the female lead?”

“I don’t know. Gareth won’t say. It seems that Tim picked her himself.”

“I don’t care who it is, go and check it out. I want to know who has the balls to take this role from me.”

Skylar fell silent.

In the end, she complied. “Alright, I’ll let you know once I find out.”

After the call was ended, Celine acted out her fury by smashing everything in the house.
