Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 172

She nodded.

She softly closed her eyes and her man’s charming voice started to count.

“One.”

“Two.”

“Three!”

She opened her eyes.

Her surroundings started to light up but when she opened her eyes, she did not notice where the light came from.

Gideon reminded her, “Look down.”

She looked down at her feet.

It was then her eyes widened in shock. She covered her mouth in astonishment.

Beneath her feet was the entire Derma Town, lit up in bright lights. The colorful and concentrated lights were meticulously arranged to spell two words: Marry Me!

She was stunned on the spot and did not know how to react.

Her man let go of her hand and then the charming voice sounded from behind her.

“Nelly, will you marry me?”

She quickly turned around and saw her man two steps away, kneeling down on one knee with a pink diamond ring in his hand. His eyes were looking into her eyes warmly.

Nell covered her mouth in shock again.

Everything happened suddenly with no indication.

Even though she knew she was in for a surprise, she did not expect the surprise to be a proposal.

She started to feel teary. The lights beneath her feet, the starry path that she walked with him, every sign pointed to how meticulous this man was.

For a moment there she felt lost, she did not know what to do.

Then, she heard her man repeating, “Nelly, will you marry me?”

Nell’s eyes were red, her heart was somewhat sourish and sweet at the same time. She held back her urge to jump into his arms and tell him how happy she was. She said, “We’re already married, what are you doing all this for?”

Her man said with a solemn look, “I know. We are married legally and you are the wife of Gideon Leith, but marriage is something that happens once in a lifetime, it should not be that simple.”

“I was afraid that you would leave me before this, that’s why I was eager to keep you by my side but I will compensate you for what I owe you. So this is my official proposal, will you say yes?”

Nell looked at her man, she could feel the tinge of nervousness under his charming voice.

She giggled and was moved and sad at the same time.

Nell was moved because as a proud man, Gideon was willing to lower himself and put in the effort to prepare all this for her.

He did not mind proposing again because he respected her feelings.

She was sad because she seemed to be losing control over her heart and feelings.

She told herself to be cautious and be careful not to get hurt a second time yet the feelings to try a second time were strong.

However, it was not time for her to be sad and sulky.

She already said yes in her heart a long time ago but when she realized her man kept this proposal from her this long, came to this town for four days without leaving a single hint and even made her worry for a moment back there, she believed he should be punished.

With that in mind, she awkwardly looked away and smiled.

‘Well… I think… I have to consider your proposal seriously.”

The moment her words escaped her mouth, she clearly felt the change in her man’s look.

“What are you considering?”

“Of course I need to consider. We married in a hurry before this and you admitted that you did it because you wanted to keep me by your side. A man that schemes a lot is…”
