Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 235

The pain spread from her palm as the iron buckle’s sharp edges cut her hand and they were digging deeper into her flesh.

Nell looked slightly paler but she clenched her teeth and tried her best to ignore the fact.

After she had swung herself for almost 20 times, her foot could finally touch the rock on the other side. She seized the chance and moved her body closer to the cliff so that she could stand on her feet.

It should be a difficult movement that was highly difficult for a normal person but not to her.

Luckily, she had spent a long time abroad practicing martial arts, so even though her stamina was not as good, her skills and techniques were still there which allowed her to pull through the difficult act.

After she found her ground, she sized up the terrain and realized something fortunate. The cliff might be steep but there were many bulging stones and grass all over the surface. In this case, climbing up should not be that difficult.

The only question remaining was what was waiting for her up there?

She did not want to spend all her strength climbing up the cliff, only to be welcomed by Celine and her men. They would definitely take her back to the basement.

If it really happened, all her efforts would be wasted.

With that in mind, she looked at her bleeding hands. The loss of blood had made her body cold and her wrists were already numb from all the pain.

Fortunately, maybe because she knew she was in a dangerous situation, her consciousness was extremely clear and tense. The bleeding did not make her feel dizzy, or at least not yet.

So, she clenched her teeth as she tore a piece of cloth off her dress and simply wrapped it over her hands.

However, maybe due to the deep cut and her still-bleeding hands, the dizziness started to kick in.

She knew it was a sign of excessive loss of blood, so she took a deep breath and bit her tongue to keep herself awake.

She then started to climb up the cliff.

Even if Celine and her men were waiting for her up there, she decided to take the shot.

If she was lucky, she would survive; if she was unlucky, all she could do was accept her fate.

The thought cleared up her hesitation and she started to climb up.

Since her hands were badly injured, she should not have been able to climb a steep cliff

Yet she did not have a choice. If she stayed, she would be waiting for her death.

Fortunately, the cliff was only a dozen meters in height.

She could make it if she held on long enough.

Nell tried her best in climbing but after a while, her forehead was covered in sweat, not because of the heat but because of the pain.

Her hands were extremely painful!

Though no matter how painful they were, she dared not stop.

She knew if she stopped, she might not have the courage or the strength to continue climbing.

At this moment, she had to be calm and rational but her consciousness was fading.

Despite wrapping her hands with a piece of her dress, the climbing made her wounds bleed again.

Not long after, the blood dyed the cloth red and started to trickle down her arms.

For a moment there, her sight turned dark, as though she would pass out at any moment. Yet again, she bit her tongue and forced herself to stay awake.

‘Hold on! I’m almost there! I’m almost there! I will make it!’

She cheered for herself in her heart and it was then she heard a noise at the top.

“Mr. Leith, there are two rows of tire tracks here and they seem fresh.”

“Search the place!”

“Yes sir!”

A spark of hope was ignited in Nell’s eyes as she looked up in excitement.

‘It’s Gideon! He’s here for me!’
