Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 297

Janet answered, “I shall return after postpartum confinement.”

Nell was surprised. “That’s fast!”

“Yeah.”

Janet seemed troubled but she did not tell Nell. She simply smiled and spoke, “Till then, I’ll meet up with you.”

Nell nodded. “Great, I’ll pick you up then.”

“Mm.”

They ended the call.

A month later, Janet returned from Country F.

That day, Nell picked her up.

She had a child by her side. As she was afraid of being photographed, she dressed herself down and kept a low profile.

When she got into Nell’s car, the latter gave her a closer look.

Fortunately, Janet looked radiant. Apart from gaining a bit of weight after childbirth, she hardly changed.

Nell heaved a sigh of relief.

She moved closer and hugged Janet.

“You’re finally back. Did you know how much I missed you?”

Janet laughed. “Pfft, Young Master Leith will be jealous if he hears about this.”

Nell giggled as well and scoffed. “I don’t care about him.”

Instead of heading back to Jincheng, Janet stayed in the capital city.

Earlier, Nell had found a residence for her. It was a detached villa not far away from Fengqiao Villa.

The house used to belong to Gideon. Later, Gideon transferred ten or so of his properties to Nell. Thus, the houses now belonged to her.

Once Janet and her son had settled down in their new home, Nell allowed them to rest for two days before holding a banquet to welcome her return.

Janet knew that Nell was worried she would feel out of place here, which was the reason for organizing the banquet.

So, she did not reject her kind gesture and agreed.

Two days later, Nell hosted the gathering and invited Joel Foster and the gang. They went out at night for dinner and had fun at the KTV.

When they had reached the KTV, everybody else had arrived.

Today was a holiday for Lizzy, so Nell brought her along too.

When they got out of the car, they saw Janet at the entrance.

Janet had been waiting for them at the entrance. Lizzy recognized her and ran up to her to give her a tight hug. She greeted her happily, “Aunt Jan.”

Janet was delighted and returned a wide grin.

She held her up and scanned her from top to toe. “What a good girl, Lizzy. You’ve gotten prettier, too. Come, let Auntie see whether you’ve grown taller.”

She took a step back and chuckled. “Yes, you have.”

Gideon and Nell approached her. Janet saw the couple and beamed with joy. “Long time no see, President Leith. Looks like things have been going really well for you. You’re glowing! What’s the secret? A loving relationship, I bet?”

Nell smiled bashfully and stared at her friend.

Instead of waiting for Gideon’s response, she interjected. “Yeah, so?”

Janet giggled. “So? Of course, I’m gonna congratulate you on finding your true love.”

Nell blinked. “As if the same thing didn’t happen to you. Let me tell you, your true love is also here tonight.”

Janet was stunned. Before she could react, a car’s engine revved behind her.
