Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 312

Tara cast a fleeting glance at Owen and saw that he did not have any intention of saying anything before introducing him. “This is Owen Jackman. He’s the dean of our research institute as well as my senior brother.”

Sophie nodded in realization. “Oh, the dean. I didn’t expect you to be so accomplished at such a young age. Is it okay if I call you Little Jackman?”

Little Jackman?

Tara paled and was about to speak when Owen nodded with a smile. “Of course, Auntie.”

She found it difficult to say anything at the sight and held a bowl, and whispered, “I’ll serve the rice.”

Then, she lowered her head and hurried away.

Sophie’s gaze bounced between the two, slightly vague. She most likely had guessed something in her heart.

She smiled courteously. “Our Tara is a great girl, but now that she’s grown up, she doesn’t tell us, parents, a lot of her worries. Little Jackman, how old are you this year?”

Owen smiled politely. “I just turned twenty-seven.”

“Twenty-seven!”

Sophie took a deep breath, thinking to herself, ‘His family background must be extraordinary for him to become a dean at twenty-seven.’

She looked at Owen again and saw that he was well-dressed, handsome, and had an elitist aura to him. He was the type who people would have a favorable first impression on at first glance.

Sophie’s heart could not help but be in high spirits. She laughed. “Your research institute must have it tough, isn’t it, studying all kinds of diseases all day?”

Owen replied honestly, “It’s not that bad. Fortunately, we have it much easier than clinical practice. Researching medicine is also to be able to better benefit mankind, so it’s not hard work.”

The smile on Tara’s face broadened at his answer.

“That’s because you’re young and promising.”

Owen grew slightly embarrassed. “You’re praising me too much, Auntie.”

Before long, Tara served the bowls of rice. She took one look at her mother and asked crossly, “Mom! Why are you asking so many questions?”

Sophie was stunned before she glared at Tara. “Little Jackman came to visit as a guest. What’s wrong with just asking a few questions?”

Then, she turned to Owen. “Little Jackman, don’t you think so?”

Owen naturally smiled politely and nodded. “Yes, it’s fine. If Auntie wants to know anything, just ask.”

His words caused Tara’s hand holding the chopsticks to tighten slightly. Her heart stuttered and panicked.

On the other hand, Sophie was very happy to hear his words. She laughed again. “An old lady like me is a little long-winded but I hope you don’t mind.”

Owen responded with a courteous smile. “Of course not, Auntie. Auntie is very warm, like the elders in my family. I like it very much.”

Sophie’s smile almost spread ear-to-ear at his words.

Seeing her mother’s happy state, Tara’s eyes flickered and she grew even more flustered.

Her face grew slightly weird, somehow feeling that this scene looked like introducing a partner to her parents.

However, at the thought of Owen’s attitude and identity, and her own identity, those thoughts instantly cooled down as if splashed with ice water.

Sophie did not know Tara’s thoughts and was simply very satisfied with the way Owen answered her questions. “I knew that you were a good boy at first glance, unlike those slick and greasy little boys out there. You’re not married yet, are you?”

Owen answered honestly, “Not yet.”

The smile on Sophie’s face became brighter and she nodded her head repeatedly. “That’s good, very good.”
