Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 316

The dry palm was hot and branded on her slightly cold skin. Tara subconsciously remembered the woman’s delicate voice earlier and suddenly felt disgusted, and forcefully shook him off.

“Doctor Jackman, this is a public place. Please mind your identity. I’m not a bar girl like her!”

Then, she rushed away without hesitation.

Her words caused the woman’s face to go cold and she stepped forward and yelled, “Stop right there! Who are you calling a barmaid?”

However, Tara simply ignored her and left quickly. The woman wanted to make a scene but Owen’s dark look when she turned around silenced her, and she did not dare to say anything anymore.

She mumbled and hesitated. “Young Master Jackman, I didn’t mean anything else. I just…”

“Enough!”

Owen’s expression was very unpleasant. “Since I was nearby, I came over to take a look because our families are friends and you said something happened to you. Since you’re fine, I’ll leave now!

“However, in the future, if it’s not urgent, then please don’t use such words as a joke. As for any other thoughts, sorry but I’m not interested, so you can keep them to yourself!”

Then, he left without waiting for her response.

The lady watched his departing back and turned pale with anger.

After a moment, she stomped her foot and scoffed before turning around to walk the other way.

...

Tara returned to the booth with a cold face. Tom quickly hurried over with a smile upon seeing her.

“Where did you go just now? I couldn’t find you for so long.”

Tara did not even bother to look at him. She reached out for the glass of beer in front of her and took a big gulp, and snapped. “Do I have to report to you when I go to the washroom?”

Tom choked, somewhat accosted.

“I didn’t say you have to report to me. I was just asking. This kind of place is pretty disorderly, so I asked out of concern, but with your attitude, it’s really a waste of my good intentions.”

Tara paused at the words before frowning. “I’m fine.”

Then, she poured herself another glass and tipped her head back to drink it all.

The pungent alcohol flowed down her throat, burning her mind like a blazing fire, but the irritation in her heart did not abate at all and rather grew stronger and fiercer.

Tom’s eyes flashed and he grinned. “Didn’t you say you don’t drink? Why are you drinking now?”

Tara glared at him. “It’s none of your godd*mn business whether I drink or not. Why? Do you feel bad?”

Then, she pulled out two hundred dollar bills from her bag and shoved them into his hand. “This is for the drinks. Is it enough?”

Tom looked at the bills in his hand and did not know whether to laugh or cry. “What nonsense are you saying? I invited you out to have fun. Why would I feel bad for a little alcohol?”

Then, he put the money back into her bag.

“It’s no fun to drink alone. Come, I’ll keep you company!”

He took a glass and was about to accompany her.

Tara was moody. Although she hated him, she did not refuse him this time and clinked a glass with him.

However, she did not know that when she did not see, Tom had already mixed the packet of white powder before bringing her the glass.
