Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 319

At that moment, Owen was sitting at the dining table with his heart in a mess.

He thought to himself, ‘I saved her last night. Would her impression of me in her heart have changed?

‘I wonder if she likes the clothes I bought for her last night. I know her size but maybe she thinks they don’t suit her…’

As he was thinking, footsteps suddenly sounded, and he looked up to see Tara coming down from upstairs.

The next second, his eyes brightened. The pink sweater made her already fair face even more radiant, making her look fresh and clean.

The black pencil pants lined her straight and long legs, giving her a thin and tender aura.

Owen could not help but go into a daze upon seeing her.

Tara saw Owen staring at her silently and grew slightly apprehensive. “What’s the matter? Is there something wrong with me?”

Owen returned to his senses. He looked slightly embarrassed and coughed awkwardly. “No, you look great.”

The man’s flustered appearance made Tara’s heart tremble. She vaguely felt something but found it impossible.

Owen averted his gaze and said, “Come and eat.”

Tara nodded and walked over, and sat down at the table.

Breakfast was very simple with congee, a few dishes, sandwiches, and a glass of milk. It could be seen that Owen’s lifestyle was very healthy and simple.

Owen seemed to notice that the spread seemed to be a little simple and quickly said, “This is my private villa. I don’t usually come over much, so no one cooks at home. I just casually made these earlier. Don’t despise it for being simple.”

Tara hurriedly smiled and shook her head. “Of course not. It’s nice when it’s simple.”

Owen was relieved to hear this and nodded.

The table was enveloped by silence for a moment before he spoke again, “About that scum, Tom Graham, what do you want to do with him?”

Tara was slightly stunned and her expression sank.

She lowered her head and took two bites of bread before saying, “Forget it.”

“Forget it?”

Owen was shocked.

Tara sighed again.

“He’s from the Graham family and the Grahams family wants to be joined with the Garrett family through marriage. I just don’t want to get involved in their mess.”

Then, she forced a smile again.

“Our family is no different than air in the eyes of the Garrett family. I don’t know why they chose me anyway. In any case, I won’t agree to this matter. As for Tom Graham…

“Now that he’s been handed over to the police, just let the people there handle it! If the Grahams want to protect him, then there’s no point even if I continue biting.”

Owen’s expression darkened as his eyes flickered.

However, he did not say anything and simply nodded.

“Alright, if you insist.”

After breakfast, Owen drove Tara back home.

The two did not speak during the journey. Tara did not know if it was her imagination, but she felt that Owen was a little strange today.

He would frown and clench his fists once in a while as if struggling and hesitating to say something.
