”Yes, quickly! Get the doctor!”
Yuri was horrified too as he did not expect this accident to occur. He quickly sent someone to get the doctor.
Joel led Lucy to a chair and sat down. A few minutes later, the doctor arrived.
Lucy withdrew her arm and allowed the doctor to treat her wound.
Fortunately, she evaded the dagger in time, so the cut was not too deep.
The doctor was based on the film set. As they were filming a historical drama, there were a lot of martial arts scenes and two accidents had already happened earlier. Thus, the film crew recruited a doctor to be on standby in case of any emergencies.
Joel stared at her wound with a scowl.
“What on earth happened just now?”
He eyed Suzy in a hostile manner.
Suzy forced a smile and muttered, “I have no idea. We’ve already choreographed our fight, but somehow, she didn’t react as planned. Since the dagger was unleashed, I panicked when she didn’t move and I couldn’t withdraw it in time. Luckily nothing bad happened. What if something did happen? I would have ended up as a murderer.”
Her words were laced with displeasure.
Joel frowned.
Throughout the conversation, Lucy maintained an icy expression while she regarded Suzy questioningly.
“Are you sure that the direction of your attack was as what we have choreographed?”
Everyone on set was stunned when they heard Lucy’s response.
What did she mean?
Suzy was shocked too. There was a flash of guilt in her eyes, but she refused to give in and insisted, “Of course, don’t you remember? We’ve already discussed this. I’ll stab towards the right, you hold it and then retaliate.”
Lucy laughed sarcastically.
“Why do I recall it being towards the left?”
“Left? Impossible!”
Suzy nodded without hesitation. “You must be mistaken.”
Yuri found it fishy as well and asked with a crease between his brows, “What the h*ck happened? Can’t you distinguish between left and right?”
Feeling wronged, Suzy pouted. “Director, as discussed earlier, I was supposed to stab towards the right. If you don’t believe me, you can ask the martial arts choreographer.”
Meanwhile, the martial arts choreographer, who was standing nearby, came up to them and cleared his throat before affirming, “Yes, we’ve choreographed the fight and she was supposed to stab towards the right. Lucy’s probably fatigued from shooting three scenes in a row, so she must have muddled it up.”
Suzy quipped, “Yeah. See? I was right.”
Then, she let out a sigh and looked at Lucy’s nonchalant appearance.
“But you have crossed a line. You made a mistake and nobody blamed you either, so why did you pin the blame on me? Just because Young Master Foster dropped by today, you can’t accuse me in order to impress him!”
Lucy wanted to laugh when she heard Suzy’s remark.
The fight scenes were handled by the martial arts choreographer, hence the director was unsure about the details.
He was mindful of Joel’s presence when he responded to Lucy, “Lucy, I’m sure you’re exhausted after shooting so many scenes today. Why don’t we talk about this after you have rested and healed your wound?”
Lucy answered wanly, “It’s fine.”
She turned to Yuri and lowered her voice, “Director, no matter how tired I am, I will never forget about my planned choreography. I distinctly recall that the attack was supposed to be directed towards the left, but she changed it to the right at the last minute. I won’t muddle this up.”
