Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 41

Matthew opened the door for Nell and asked respectfully. “Where are we going now?”

Nell glanced around and looked at the safe in the backseat.

A moment passed before she said, “Let’s go home first.”

After returning to Leith Gardens, Aunt Joyce saw Matthew with a large safe and thought that Nell had bought some precious jewelry.

She hurriedly welcomed them back happily, but did not expect to see an ordinary necklace when she went upstairs and opened the safe up.

Although the shape was exquisite and the emeralds on it were lustrous, it did not seem valuable enough to be packed into a safe!

Nell was also a little embarrassed.

Matthew had prepared the safe in case there were valuables that would be hard to transport in what her mother left behind.

Unexpectedly, it was just a simple necklace.

Nell could not help but laugh. However, she was very happy that she finally got her mother’s relics.

She stood by the window and carefully looked at the back of the necklace under the sunlight.

There were several small engravings on it. It was the initials of her mother’s name, C-M.

When her mother suddenly passed away, everything in the house had been taken over by that mother and daughter, and now all that was left to Nell’s name was this.

Thinking about this, Nell only felt her heart burn.

She walked to the front of the mirror and took off the silver necklace she usually wore, and put on this quaint necklace instead.

Fortunately, the necklace was exquisitely made, so even though the style was a little old, it did not look weird when she wore it.

Nell smiled and tucked the pendant behind her clothes to cover it. Then, she patted her chest in satisfaction and turned to walk out.

In the afternoon, She went to Xinghui Culture.

It had been several days since she obtained the company, but she had not had much time these few days and was only able to inspect the company in person today.

Before she left, she called the current person-in-charge of the company to inform him that she would come today.

It was exactly 2:00 pm when she arrived at the company.

The person who received her was the vice president surnamed Lewis.

Entertainment companies were different from other companies. As artistes made up the majority of the company’s members, there were not that many employees on duty compared to other industries.

This was especially true for Xinghui, which was on the verge of bankruptcy. No one was willing to sit there and wait for death. After all, Xinghui had been bought over and had a new boss. Everyone already knew about this.

It was still questionable what the new boss wanted to do with the company, so anyone who had their own plans or had other connections had already left or jumped ship long before the acquisition.

The only ones left were a few shrimps who were still dazed and at a loss.

Vice president Lewis brought Nell to her office and gave her a brief account of the current situation of the company.

Nell analyzed it in detail and found that it was similar to the data she had.

There were only ten artists in the company’s artiste department right now. One of them was a five-member male group that had only signed in last year. Although they were called a group, it would be more accurate to call it a forced binding of a bunch of artistes whose talents were not that obvious.

There were also a few little-known artists. Their best work so far were only as little eunuchs or courtesans in dramas and so on.

As for the agency department, the few capable agents had run away long ago, and all that was left were a few new graduates whose abilities were even worse than the artists.

As for the public relations department, they were simply useless.

What a joke! What was the point of public relations when their artists were not even popular?

Why not just make something happen so that they get more fame?

Even if they became infamous, at least they would be well known!
