Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 578

Moreover, was there anyone alive who did not have a past? Was there anyone who did not harbor secrets?

As long as she was certain that Gideon loved her and nobody else, she was content.

When she thought of this, Nell’s lips curled into a satisfied smile.

Meanwhile, on the other side.

In the study.

Light was scarce in the room. Gideon was seated on the leather chair behind the desk. His expression was somber as he leaned against the chair.

A video call was going on on the computer screen. A man on the other end of the call was going on about something in fluent English. Throughout the call, however, Gideon merely listened and did not respond.

After the other man had spoken for more than ten minutes and was nearly done with his piece, he asked helplessly when Gideon still did not reply, “Gideon Sam Leith, when are you going to agree to remove those people? It’s difficult for us to get things done when your men are there. Besides, we don’t want to expose your identity, but if your men aren’t leaving, we have no choice but to reveal who you are!”

Gideon sat still and narrowed his eyes. His long, slender fingers rested on the armrest and tapped on it lightly.

The other party seemed to have lost his patience and yelled, “Gideon Sam Leith, men of the East always emphasize trust. Is this your idea of trust by openly taking over our territory? Haven’t we been friends all these years? Remember, I helped you eight years ago…”

“Kris,” Gideon spoke suddenly.

The man was surprised and stopped talking.

His gaze darted from side to side and he looked guilty.

“Sam, you gotta understand that business isn’t looking up on our side. The huge forces around us are taking over piece by piece, and this territory is our only hope. If you aren’t willing to hand over this territory to me, I don’t have another choice. When that happens, I’ll turn against you, let alone the hundreds of brothers by my side. We have been through so much and I don’t want to cause a great rift between us!”

The man explained his situation patiently. He had already put down his pride and started to plead with Gideon.

Still, Gideon seemed calm and collected as he sat on his chair. He was so relaxed as if the words he heard were insignificant to him.

After a while, he said, “Fine, you can have that territory.”

He was quiet for the whole night, but once he finally opened his mouth, what he said came as a surprise.

The man on the other end became emotional and a big grin spread across his face.

“Really? Are you willing to part with it?”

Gideon slowly narrowed his eyes and smiled slyly.

“Yes, but as an exchange, you must agree to one condition.”

The man’s expression sank as soon as he heard Gideon’s words.

He grimaced and muttered, “We’re brothers. We shouldn’t be talking about conditions, should we?”

Gideon eyed him intently and spoke coldly, “Since you are reluctant, I’ll…”

“Ah, don’t!” The man interrupted Gideon at once, fearing that the latter would change his mind.

He knew that if Gideon was willing to part with a big chunk of his property, what he would ask of him would be extraordinary and perhaps difficult.

However, he could not back down now. He could only muster up his courage and agree to whatever favor Gideon asked of him.

So, he asked, “Tell me, what do you want?”

“I heard a new product has arrived at the black market you’re in charge of, a heart with an Rh-negative blood type.”
