Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 639

Joel Foster turned to look at Lucy Katz and snorted.

“Oh, so you still notice me! I thought you only have eyes for everyone else and forgot about me!”

Lucy was in the midst of untying her scarf and paused. She looked at him blankly.

She did not know what to say for a few seconds and later realized that he was jealous.

Lucy did not know whether to laugh or cry.

“What are you jealous of now?”

Joel scrunched his nose and did not speak.

After Lucy unwrapped her scarf, she walked over, squatted down with her hands on her knees, and took a closer look at his face.

She saw that his face was glum, so she smiled and said, "I was just having a meal with the crew members and drank a little more than usual. What are you on about that I don’t have eyes for you?"

Joel paused.

In his heart, he knew that he was being unreasonable.

However, he just did not want to let her go, like a fierce possessive bear that wanted to protect its territory.

Joel did not like to see her smile that brightly at others.

He also hated to see her drink in front of other men.

After he thought about it, he said, "Fine, I am being jealous. I just don't like how those men were staring at you. Lu, you should understand what I mean. Right now, I didn't confront them because I care about you and the deal we made with my mom. I can’t promise that I’ll be so thoughtful next time."

Lucy frowned at those words.

Actually, she knew what the photographer was hinting at earlier, but that's just how it was in this industry.

At times, it was hard to distinguish what was right and wrong, black and white.

There were many grey areas in between, things that she had no way of rejecting and could not afford to reject.

Lucy did not know how she should go about explaining this to Joel.

That was because from his point of view, with his status and the environment he grew up in, he would have never experienced this in his lifetime.

He would never have to live a life where he needed to be wary of other people's moods.

In the end, Lucy sighed, walked over, and sat down next to him.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't considerate of your feelings today. I'll pay attention next time."

After she said that, she hung her head slightly.

Although she admitted her mistake, her tone carried the frustration and exhaustion she felt.

Joel's heart ached when he heard this.

He did not mean to blame her, but as a man, he was still a little possessive. He could not just stand by and watch his woman be bullied like this.

However, those people did not do anything over the top.

Even if he wanted to find someone to settle the score, he did not have a valid reason.

Joel saw Lucy's lost look, reached out his arms, and hugged her.

"Lu, I know that you like acting and want to pursue your dreams. You should just do it with determination, but you must remember that you are my woman, my lawfully wedded wife. In this world, no one can bully you except me, and you don't need to live under anyone else's nose.

“I can give you whatever you want. I will personally pave the way for the road you want to take. In the future, I won’t allow such things to happen again! I also hope that you can stay by my side and stop making me feel like I’ll lose you."

Joel hugged Lucy tightly in his arms.

Lucy could even feel the strength and temperature of the man's heart as it beat.

She also felt a sudden warmth in her heart that made her melt.

Lucy did not know how long it took before she slowly reached out and embraced him as well.

She whispered, "I know, I will."

The two of them held each other in silence for a while. Lucy suddenly remembered something and said, "Oh right, I need to tell you something."
