Before she left, Nancy consoled Nell.
“Nelly, don’t overthink it, maybe it’s just a coincidence. No matter what happened in those three months, at least your life is good now. Assuming something does occur, it won’t affect you.”
Nell nodded and returned a smile.
“Understood, have a good rest then.”
“Mm.”
Nancy headed out.
Once she was away, Nell laid down on the large bed and stared into the endless night. Yet, she was unable to forget the scenes she saw in her head.
She remembered the time she awoke when Gregory saved her a long time ago.
Back then, she felt curious about that particular memory and wanted to make sense of it.
Unfortunately, she was too weak at that time. Furthermore, she did not have the resources to investigate the incident.
Every day, Nell immersed herself in her training sessions and hardly had time for herself.
When she returned to her home country, she dedicated herself to Jason Morton by taking care of his company affairs.
Business improved over time, but Nell’s love life crumbled into pieces.
All the while, she never had any free time to think about her matters.
Nell shut her eyes and sighed quietly.
She kept turning around on her bed. It was only after midnight that she fell asleep.
That night, she had another dream.
It was the same dream she had had where she was drowning in the sea.
She was being pulled into the depths of the ocean…
Then, a hand grabbed her.
She turned around and saw that familiar, handsome face. He looked as charming as ever in the deep, dark sea.
She shook her head violently, gesturing at him to let go, yet he did not do so. He pressed his lips together and a look of determination was etched on his face.
Tears began to fill her eyes. She was not sure whether it was the seawater or her tears that she felt on her cheeks.
Finally, a huge wave knocked against them and she had been struck dizzy by its momentum.
The man loosened his grip around her waist and was devoured by the sea’s bottomless pit.
“Ah!”
Nell exclaimed and sat up.
Bright rays of sunlight shone through the window. The morning had arrived.
She had only slept for a few hours before the nightmare woke her up.
Nell closed her eyes and wiped the cold beads of sweat away from her forehead, then lifted her blanket and went out for a glass of water.
When she returned to her room, she realized it was only 7:00 am.
The flight was scheduled to depart at 10:00 am. Earlier, both Nell and Nancy had agreed that they would wake up at 7:30 am and head to the airport in time.
It was almost time to wake up.
Instead of going back to sleep, Nell got dressed and headed outside.
When she got out, she noticed Nancy was awake too.
Nancy greeted Nell with a smile.
“Morning! Did you have a good night’s sleep? Are you alright?”
Nell knew that Nancy was concerned about the sudden headache she experienced last night, so she shook her head dismissively and replied, “Not bad.”
Then, she looked at the time.
