Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 764

The mountain path was not considered easy to walk on.

Since not many people came to this place, the path here was hardly repaired. It consisted of bluestone steps that had been crafted many years ago.

Probably because it had rained two days ago, the steps were slightly wet. On top of that, since the steps were bordered by moss, one who was not careful enough would easily slip on them.

Vickie lowered her head slightly, striding up step by step.

The man in front of her was flying along the path as if the slope was no different than the flat ground to him.

Walking behind him, she could see his tall and sturdy back once she looked up.

Under the golden sunset, his lonely and sorrowful back, coupled with the dense leaves all over the mountain, the scene conveyed a sense of isolation.

She pursed her lips and did not say a word as she quickened her pace to catch up with him.

After walking for half an hour or so, they finally reached the cemetery garden, which was situated halfway up the mountain, at approximately 5:00 pm.

A gunmetal grey stone arch could be seen standing there in peace from afar. It resembled a formidable, burly man who guarded the souls buried in the cemetery.

Vickie’s eyes darkened.

Upon arriving at the entrance of the cemetery garden, Gregory stopped walking, so she also stopped three steps behind him. She lifted her head and looked at the big words carved on the stone arch, raising the corner of her lips mockingly.

“Tsk, I didn’t expect Boss Gregory, who has always been notorious for his lack of affection, to be such a sentimental person. You personally built a cemetery garden for your own brothers. Are you expecting people to come and burn incense to them a hundred years later and consider them heroes?”

Upon finishing her words, the man’s expression became unexpectedly grim.

Vickie felt a gust of wind engulfing her. In the next second, she felt a twinge in her back as her whole body was pressed strongly against a stone pillar.

Although she did not get bullied while she was in jail, the torture she had to endure there had been rather horrible too. For instance, due to hard labor back then, she had spent a lot of time bending over, which caused her to suffer from a severe lower back disease.

With her back being pressed with a hard rock at this moment, all she could feel was a sharp pain as if she was stabbed with a knife. It was so painful that her brows soon furrowed with anger.

Gregory clutched her neck and said through gritted teeth, “Do you really think that I don’t dare to kill you?”

Vickie was being clutched so tightly that she could barely breathe and her face was flush with blood.

Nevertheless, she made a desperate attempt to laugh before she was out of breath. With a careless expression, she gave him a provocative stare.

The words that came out of her mouth were even more infuriating. “How capable of you, Boss Gregory. Why not kill me now?! You’ll happen to be able to bury me with your brothers. When you’ve gone to hell a hundred years later, you can explain it to them then.”

“Vickie!” the man shouted with a deep voice.

The strength of his hand was so enormous that it nearly crushed her neck.

Vickie was lost for words right away. The suffocation cut off the oxygen to her brain, and she began to feel dizzy.

Feeling powerless, she stared back at Gregory. She saw his eyes almost becoming crimson and his handsome features contorting with fury due to misery and hatred. The heroic spirit that he used to exude was no longer present.

All of a sudden, her eyes felt uncomfortable. It seemed like something was poking through her heart and sticking out.
