Vickie did not care if she was considered a woman in Yuliana’s eyes.
Instead, she now thought that Gregory was no man at all.
After fighting for so many rounds and losing, he was still so stubborn to admit defeat. What did he want, then? Did they have to fight until one of them died?
Thinking of this, a ruthless glint appeared in Vickie’s eyes.
However, with Massimo around, he would not allow them to fight it out to the end.
Massimo quickly pulled Vickie back and persuaded her. “Enough, enough. Gregory is just being obstinate, let’s not get calculative with him. As for the grudge between the two of you, you can resolve it between yourselves. If this fight turns deadly, then where will I stand? Vick, on behalf of our many years of friendship, please don’t put me in such a difficult position, I beg you.”
Gregory spit out a mouthful of blood and sneered. “Massimo, why are you begging her? Don’t you know where you should stand?”
At this moment, even Massimo’s incredible patience was worn out.
He turned around and bellowed, “You, shut up!”
Gregory’s face turned ashen. He glared at Vickie but did not say anything more.
Massimo continued to persuade Vickie, and at this juncture, even Yuliana could see that the fight between these two opponents was not completely related to her anymore.
Rather, it was because they both had a raging ball of fire inside their hearts from the very beginning and they needed an outlet to vent. So this was the perfect opportunity to vent it all out.
She walked forward to support Gregory with her eyes red like she was about to burst into tears.
“Gregory, I’m sorry. It’s my fault for causing you to sustain so many injuries. I’m not upset anymore, really, please stop fighting.”
As she spoke, she used her sleeve to gently wipe the bloodstains off the corner of his mouth.
Gregory watched her through his squinted eyes.
However, out of the corner of his eyes, he was looking at Vickie. She stood with her back to him and had her arms folded around her chest, listening to something Massimo was saying. A wave of irritation rose in his heart for no reason.
Suddenly, he pulled Yuliana into his arms.
A charismatic smile appeared on his lips as he said to her, “No problem. For the sake of my beloved, what is this tiny bit of injury? As long as you’re happy, not only will I fight for you, but I will even pluck out stars from the sky if you wish.”
Those words even made Massimo cringe.
Raising his gaze, he carefully scanned the expression on Vickie’s face. However, she remained emotionless as if she did not hear anything.
Massimo cleared his throat and coughed once. Loudly, he declared, “Okay, since no one has any further objections, this matter is considered resolved. The fight has been fought. Gregory, you cannot force Vickie to apologize to Yuliana, and Vick, you cannot retaliate against Gregory anymore.”
Vickie turned her head and threw a dark glance at Gregory.
She smiled coldly. “As long as he doesn’t provoke me, naturally, I won’t retaliate.”
When Gregory heard her words, all he could feel was his blood boiling like there was a mouthful of blood stuck in his chest, unable to go up or down. It was an indescribable frustration.
He thought to himself that he had indeed neglected his fighting skills over the last four years. It seemed like he would have to practice harder.
Regardless, his mouth remained obstinate. He scoffed, “I’m just in a bad condition today, don’t talk as if you can beat me every single time.”
Vickie already knew, when she met him more than a decade ago, that he was a stubborn person.
Therefore, she merely rolled her eyes at his reply. No longer interested in arguing with him, she turned around and walked away.
“If there’s nothing else, I’ll take my leave!”
As soon as she said that, she walked towards the exit.
Massimo was taken aback. Immediately, he asked, “Where are you going?”
