Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 852

Soon after, Vickie's phone chimed again.

She frowned and did not intend to care, but she could not stand the glare from the man next to her, so she picked up the phone.

When she looked at it, there was another text message from him.

"I was wrong."

Vickie was stunned.

Then, her frown deepened.

She turned to look at the man and saw that he was looking at her seriously. His eyes, which were usually cold and deep, were now devoid of all their sharpness. He just looked at her with a pitiful and watery gaze, like a cute puppy.

Vickie's heart stumbled.

It was an inexplicable feeling like her heart was tickled by feathers.

She did not know what this man meant. Was he giving her the puppy dog eyes?

Hmph, she would not fall for his trick.

As she thought of this, Vickie put her phone away and deliberately ignored it.

When Gregory saw that this tactic did not work on her, he pondered and suddenly took the box of toothpicks from the table and laid them out in front of him.

The rest of them were too busy poking fun at Massimo and Quincy to notice his oddness.

After all, everyone knew him and knew what kind of personality he had. It was already good enough that he even attended occasions like this. Expecting him to join in with their chatter was highly unlikely.

Therefore, no one even noticed what he was doing.

Vickie did notice though.

However, she did not want to look at him properly, so she would only occasionally glimpse at him through the corner of her eye.

She saw that he was no longer texting with his phone, but was instead sitting there with his head down fiddling with toothpicks, and thought he was playing.

Vickie sneered inwardly. This man was becoming more childish as he aged, he was even playing with toothpicks? Did he really think he was a three-year-old child?

However, she did not care about him. Since he wanted to play, she would just let him be. As long as he did not bother her, what did it matter?

Vickie ignored him and let him be as she thought of this.

After a while, she felt someone lightly poking her arm out of the blue.

She subconsciously knitted her eyebrows and looked over at the man with angry eyes as a warning not to mess with her again.

Unexpectedly, the man did not do anything more but just pointed at the table in front of him and gestured for her to look.

Vickie took a glance and stiffened.

On the table, there were a few letters that he had made out with the toothpicks. It spelled G LOVE V.

Others might not know what “G LOVE V” meant, but how could she not know?

"G" was Gregory, and "V" was Vickie?

This man…

Vickie was so exasperated that she seemed to deflate like a punctured balloon right then and there.

She was irritated yet amused.

Gregory even pleaded by beaming at her, which made her so angry that she wanted to reach out and punch him.

In the end, she did not do so as there was a crowd and the occasion was not right, so she reluctantly suppressed that impulse.

She just picked up her phone, hurriedly typed a message, and sent it to him.

"Stop with all that nonsense. Even if you go through all that trouble, I still won't agree to date you, so just give up!"

Vickie pressed the send button after she typed the message furiously.

Gregory's phone buzzed and he immediately looked at it.
