She took out the Arcane Jade she bought from the auction, rested it on her palm and scrutinized it for a moment, then said. “Earlier, we couldn’t understand why the Flinders would auction this thing. Now we know, they’re actually up to something.”

Gregory Graham’s face fell a little.

“They gave the jade to us on purpose. The auction was for everybody to participate, but in fact, it was ready just for us.”

Vickie nodded with a sigh.

“What do you think they want this for? I don’t think that Mr. Jeff is someone who believes in the myth of immortality, he looks like he has transcended worldly affairs. Why would he be interested in such a toy?”

Gregory sneered as he disapproved of what she said.

“Sometimes, people who look like they’ve gone beyond the world are more likely to be greedier. I don’t think he’s a good person.”

Vickie was stunned, she turned and looked at him. “Then why would he give this thing to us? Why would he choose us to help him search for the few other missing pieces?”

Gregory Graham uttered softly, “Simple. It’s inconvenient for him to for some reason, but for us, we have connections and power, and because of the disease in your body, you need help from him. Therefore, we are the best choice. As for why would he give this thing to us...”

He took the jade and had a closer look.

“Maybe it’s for us to study.”

He finished and shook his head. “I’m not sure.”
