"Yeah, it's been chilly these past few days. Make sure you bundle up."
"Don't worry, Ms. Bishop. We don’t got it as tough as you actors."
Alison, the assistant, was someone Stephanie was really pleased with. She's steady, mature, caring, considerate and didn't overstep her boundaries.
She's a seasoned assistant alright, way more capable than Gillian's assistant Lindsay. Gillian's been secretly envious of her.
Even Maddie's dad's professional assistant was not as considerate as Alison.
After Stephanie finished her hot drink, Alison took the cup, didn't wander off, just stayed and chatted with her to help her relax.
This would help with the upcoming shooting.
Neither of them noticed someone approaching their rest area, and then leaving.
When Stephanie got tired of standing, and the director didn't announce the continuation of the shoot, she decided to have Alison help her out of her harness and sit on a chair Alison had prepared for her to rest.
Alison even brought a blanket. Every time Stephanie got tired, Alison would drape the blanket over her to prevent her from catching a cold if she fell asleep.
They were chatting when suddenly, a shout rang out from the set: "Whoa! Who's been messing with my stuff? My watch is gone! That's a limited edition watch worth over a million!"
All eyes on the set immediately turned towards the commotion.
Soon, a crowd had gathered there. Even the director was alarmed and went over to ask, "What's going on?"
Giovanni looked frantic as she explained, "My watch from my bag is gone... I definitely put it there before I got my makeup done this morning."
"Where's your assistant? Didn't they watch your stuff?"
Giovanni's assistant looked distressed as she said, "Ms. May had me run errands during lunch..."
"Exactly... We didn't take it."
"Even if someone did, who would be dumb enough to come forward..."
Hearing these murmurs, the director frowned and said, "By the time the police arrive, it might be too late!"
Still, no one spoke up......
Stephanie was sitting in the chair, casually lying back, covered with a blanket, feeling warm and almost dozing off.
Suddenly, she heard Giovanni's female assistant tell everyone, "When I returned from buying things for Ms. May at noon, I found Ms. May asleep in the chaise lounge... Her handbag was on the chair next to her,
at that time, I thought I saw Ms. Bishop bump into Ms. May's bag."
