Sebastian Ingram found himself looking out the window, feeling familiar with the scenery outside.
At the sound, Stephanie Bishop sat up, stretched lazily and said, "Are we there already? That was quick."
The driver chuckled wryly, "I've been driving for over an hour... does that count as fast?"
"Oh... Have I been sleeping for that long? Thank you!"
"No need to thank me... but I can't drive in, I can only stop at the entrance, you'll have to walk in."
Sebastian got out of the car, his emotions a mixed bag.
He understood now why Stephanie had bought a wreath.
He watched as Stephanie took the wreath out of the trunk and couldn't help but ask, "Why are we here?"
Holding the wreath, Stephanie walked over and said, "We should have come yesterday... but today is not too late... I don't think Mr. Ingram would mind."
Mr. Ingram... his father?
Was Stephanie planning to take him to visit his deceased father on his birthday?
Sebastian frowned slightly and said, "Yes, my father wouldn't mind."
"Ha, Mr. Ingram, what kind of man was your father?"
"He was a man who appeared stern to outsiders, but was respectful to elders and gentle to his family..."
"Wow! You must have been very happy when your father was alive."
"Yes... he loved me very much."
