After ending the call, Stephanie and Emily started goofing around on the dorm bed.
Emily was all smiles, her gloominess completely gone.
The next day, it snowed.
Both Stephanie and Emily bundled up in red padded jackets, short boots, scarves around their necks, and bags on their backs and got chauffeured to the front gate of Skyline Corporation.
This time, Sebastian had no idea they were coming.
Stephanie didn't give him a heads-up either.
They arrived at the reception desk and checked in.
"Who are you here to see?" the receptionist asked.
"I'm here to see Marilyn in finance. She's my mom."
"Alright, take the elevator straight to the eighteenth floor."
"Thanks."
The receptionist didn't recognize her, but when she saw her name in the register after she left, she was shocked.
Oh my god, isn't this Ms. Bishop that Martin was talking about? The one who can go directly to the CEO's office?
Did her mother also work at Skyline Corporation?
Yesterday someone in finance got promoted. Could it be Ms. Bishop's mother?
Stephanie and Emily stepped into the elevator together.
She yawned, feeling a bit tired. "Emily, you were kicking the blankets last night."
"Huh? I was kicking the blanket."
"Yeah, you kept me up all night. I had to keep covering you up. Later, I'll buy you a sleeping bag."
"What's a sleeping bag for?"
"It's for putting you inside so you can't kick off the blanket."
"I don't want to! I don't want to be trapped inside!"
The people around asked in surprise, "Is she a friend of Martin's?"
Martin smiled and said, "Yeah, she's a friend. We had a meeting here earlier and are now heading back to the thirty-sixth floor."
"Oh, then I won't disturb you. Emily, let's go."
"I'm not leaving! She's bullying me! She said, I kicked the blanket, and she's going to buy a sleeping bag for me to sleep in!"
Stephanie was extremely annoyed. This was why one shouldn't tease kids.
Sebastian looked at Stephanie and said, "Ms. Bishop, are you bullying a child?"
He actually called her Ms. Bishop?
Well, if that's the case, she didn't mind playing along.
"Uh, President Ingram, maybe you should mind your own business."
Emily looked at Sebastian in confusion, then at Stephanie, and asked, "Why don't you call him Silver Fox?"
