Talking about the past, Marilyn Bishop felt a bit guilty.
Her family raised her to be a pretty face with hopes of her marrying a rich guy and bringing some money back home.
But the thing was, she never tied the knot, which was a letdown considering her upbringing.
She took a deep breath and said, "Alright, let's put that behind us. I'm fit as a fiddle now. Let's drop it, Sammy Bishop. Get up."
Sammy Bishop, tears in his eyes, got up from the floor and said, "As long as you're not mad at me."
Marilyn sighed, "I'm not pissed off anymore, but Steph still holds grudge! Sammy, even if you didn't want to lend her money, you didn't have to throw it in her face! Steph isn't a kid anymore. She knows better!"
Sammy scratched his nose and said, "I've already apologized."
"Fine, I'll go and talk to Steph later."
Carol smiled, "That’s more like it. We are all brothers and sisters, and we should get along."
Stephanie Bishop was speechless.
They had already cut ties with these shameless relatives, and now they were interacting again. It felt like they were in for a world of trouble.
Sure enough, Stephanie's grandmother suddenly said, "Marilyn, all these years, it's been tough for a woman like you to raise a child alone. Carol wants to find a man to take care of you."
Carol said, "Marilyn, what are you talking about? How could we possibly hold a grudge against Steph? We know she cares about you. Steph, this must be your boyfriend. What a handsome lad.
Your two cousins are still single. You're an actress now, you must know a lot of people, you should introduce them to some guys."
Stephanie said impatiently, "I don't think my cousins need my help. They might not like the guys I introduce."
"How could that be. You just need to find someone who meets your boyfriend's standards! They would definitely be interested."
"You think it's easy to find a guy as great as my boyfriend?"
