Spoiled by the Silver Fox novel Chapter 665

In no time at all, the entire floor was buzzing with the news that Marilyn was set to become the mother-in-law of the big boss.

In the finance department, Marilyn's colleagues started giving her complicated looks, questioning their minds. Had they ever pissed off this big shot before?

Even the head of the finance department personally went to the deputy director's office to shoot the breeze with Marilyn, all smiled.

He kept insisting that she should delegate all her tasks to her subordinates and avoid overworking herself.

The director had been warned by Martin before about Marilyn's special status, but he never imagined she would turn out to be such a big shot.

She was going to be the mother-in-law of the big boss!

Judging by the boss' showy displays of affection and protectiveness toward Marilyn's daughter on social media, announcing with gusto that she was his fiancée, practically no one dared to disrespect that mother-daughter duo.

Marilyn offered a helpless smile, "No need for all this fuss, just carry on as usual, I can handle my own work."

The director chuckled, "Alright. That's for the best, but don't overwork yourself, anything you need, just let me know."

Marilyn shook her head with a wry smile, "You're the director. Stop this nonsense, I just want to do my job. If this keeps up, I probably won't be able to work normally."

Such an important figure couldn’t be allowed to leave!

The director quickly reined in his fawning demeanor, and said seriously, "Alright! Let's pretend I didn't say anything; we'll go your way, business as usual in our department! I'll inform the staff about this situation, don't worry."

Marilyn nodded, "Thanks a lot."

With the director personally spreading the word, the staff all took note cautiously.

But for the most part, the looks they gave Marilyn were still tinged with apprehension.

After getting his food, he saw Marilyn and figured there was no need to keep avoiding her; he walked over and asked, "Mrs. Bishop, do you mind if I join you for lunch?"

Marilyn's two buddies were immediately rendered speechless in shock.

Marilyn laughed, "Of course not. Martin, have a seat, there's one spot left."

Martin didn't bother with formalities and sat down.

Marilyn asked him, "Has Sebastian had lunch yet?"

"Not yet, there's a chef in the canteen who cooks for the boss; I'll take the lunch to him after I finish eating."

Marilyn nodded, "Being a big boss seems to be quite a handful. I see Sebastian's workload, it's not less than ours at all."
