“How can it possibly be a loss. I've been in showbiz my whole life, kiddo, and never once have I lost a dime! Just park the car over there. Hand the keys to the security guard, and let him take care of it. Come on, let’s go for a stroll on the set. Emily can tag along too.”
“Sure thing, Emmett”
But they visited the set almost every day. What was so special about it today?
Little did Stephanie know, Emmert had something on his mind.
As they walked, Emmert suddenly let out a heavy sigh. “Ever heard of Zachary, pumpkin?”
“Zachary? I think I overheard Silver Fox mentioning that name on the phone once”
“Just once, and it stuck with you? You got a memory like an elephant, kiddo?”
“No, it’s just I thought it sounded really cool, Zachary like climbing to the top of the mountain. It’s kinda badass.”
Emmert chuckled. “Badass, huh? I'll have you know, I was the one who came up with that name back in the day!”
“Wow! Such a cool name, and Grandpa, you picked it? That’s amazing!”
“Yep, Who picked your name, pumpkin?”
“My mom did! Stephanie, it means ‘cozy little sweater.’”
“Sweet name. It has a nice ring to it.” Zachary would be proud.
“But Emmett, you named Zachary? Are you some kind of family elder to him?”
“That's right, I'm his uncle.”
“Wow! So, Emmett, you must have had a lot of relatives, huh?”
“Nah, just one sister. She married Zachary's father, and they gave me a niece and a nephew. That's all.”
“So, what kind of person is Zachary? Is he as tough as his name suggests?”
Emmert’s voice mixed with complex emotions. “In my whole life, I’ve only ever looked up to one person, that kid, Zachary.”
“Holy smokes! He must be super tough, even tougher than Silver Fox!”
