Morgan's eyes widened. "But... but this will never do!"
"If you insist on pestering me, it won't be as simple as cutting off ties."
Tyrell warned him coldly.
Morgan was completely blindsided.
At this point, he did not dare push his luck with Tyrell Kinney any further.
After a moment's thought, he could only leave with his wife and son.
As soon as they left, Piper huffed with disdain. "What an ill-mannered thing. Absolutely loathesome!"
"Alright, just take it easy."
Tyrell patted her back in an attempt to calm her down before looking up at Gwenda. "I've heard everything about what happened tonight, Miss Evans. Thank you."
"Don't mention it; it's the least I could do."
Gwenda smiled faintly.
Seeing this, Piper chuckled and said, "Tyrell, you must know that if Gwenda hadn't spoken up for me, I would've been positively nettled by Morgan Wright!"
She somehow felt fonder of Gwenda after what she had just experienced.
"I'm indeed grateful, Miss Evans. If we have time, my family will certainly pay you a visit in thanks."
Tyrell nodded lightly at her.
Gwenda smiled. "It's okay, you don't have to. I'm not used to people standing on ceremony."
"Oh, it's necessary."
Piper walked over to sit next to Gwenda and held her hand. "I have truly been blind to blame you as I have. You must accept both my apology and gratitude. If you ever need help from us Kinneys, feel free to ask."
In the face of their friendliness, Gwenda could not refuse them. So, she said, "Alright, I'll take it."
Suzanne then said, "Alright then, this matter is over now. Piper, you must be tired. How about staying the night here?"
"Oh, no. My son is already here, I must go home."
With that, Piper turned to look at Gwenda and said, "Gwenda, come visit us if you're free. We welcome you at any time."
"Okay."
