Spoiled my CEO husband after Rebirth novel Chapter 159

"Hello, Miss Evans."

"Come on, sit down. Little Wendy, sit here." "Come, let's not stand on ceremony any longer. Do be seated. Gwenda, why don't you sit here?"

Piper deliberately directed Gwenda to the empty spot next to Samuel.

Gwenda hesitated for a moment, glancing at Samuel out of the corner of her eye before sitting down.

"Today's lunch is mainly to thank Gwenda. So, you can just order whatever you like to eat later, dear."

Piper passed the menu over to Gwenda, who chuckled as she took it. "I'm good. You don't have to accommodate me."

...

"It's fine, dear. Go ahead and order."

"Okay."

Gwenda flipped open the menu.

At this time, both Tyrell and Imani were busy taking care of their children. Piper gave Samuel a look and whispered, "It may be Gwenda's first time in this restaurant. Do look out for her, will you?"

"Got it."

Samuel sighed quietly to himself.

He did not need anyone to teach him how to pick up girls.

His darling mother was truly worrying over nothing.

"Miss Evans."

Samuel suddenly spoke with a smile on his face. "Would you like some recommendations on the spécialité de la maison?"

Gwenda had been wondering about what to order. "Sure. Thank you, Mr. Kinney."

"Just call me Samuel."

"Samuel, then."

Gwenda called out his name softly.

Her voice was so soft and sweet, as if it was chewy candy.

Samuel's heart nearly skipped a beat when he heard it. Raising an eyebrow, he smiled and said, "Your voice is very pleasant."

Gwenda smiled politely. "Thank you."

"Do you like fish? The pickled fish here is good."

Taking advantage of the time they had to order their food, Samuel began to chat with her.

They got along pretty well as Gwenda was not an introverted person. Samuel's familiarity with chatting up girls also helped.

As for the rest around the table, they treated Gwenda and Samuel's interaction as a good show to watch.

This was especially so for Piper, who — while delighted — did not forget to inch closer to Tyrell to whisper, "Look at how happy they are when they chat. I'm sure that I've gotten my second daughter-in-law for real now."

"You're thinking too much."
