The door holds open just big enough for Angelica to pop her head in. We see a tendril of blonde hair.
Atlas snaps to attention, Jumping to his feet he rushes to hide. I move to the door to try and push it closed. Oblivious, Angelica continues to struggle to enter the room and with a final shove almost knocks me off my feet.
I don’t need to pretend to be embarrassed as she stands there, stomping her foot as I reach down to cover myself with the discarded dress. “Don’t come in here!” I scream at Angelica. “I’m naked!”
“I can see that,” she snorts, rolling her eyes. “I used to change your diapers, Cordelia, I’ve seen you naked.”
“Not like this,” I huff, turning my back to her as the door opens a bit wider. Thankfully, the more she opens the door, the better Atlas is hidden. At least until she opens it completely. The last thing we need is a big scene at the wedding dress shop. Imagine the headline “Steele Family Scandal: Wrong Bride Mr. Steele!”
I shoo her away, or at least try to, pushing on her body with my hands as I move to push the door closed.
During all this Atlas is standing as still as possible. His breathing is shallow, but his eyes are full of mirth as he contemplates pinching me on the ass. I glare at him.
“Is there something going on Cordelia?” Angelica tries to push herself inside the room again.
reason I should come in?”
I shake my head vehemently. The last thing I want is for her to enter this room right now.
“Do you need to talk? I’m sure this must be so stressful for you, having me come back into your life suddenly after so many years away. And then there’s Atlas. I know you have feelings for him but you need to understand that what you feel is more like ‘puppy love.” She places a sympethetic hand on my shoulder. “Besides, think of poor Clark and the baby. He would be so disappointed to know about how you really feel. It would break his heart.”
“No, Angelica,” I shake my head. “It’s not like that at all…”
“I look over at Atlas, who has pulled out his phone and is typing a message. Grinning like a little boy up to something. He presses send.
Angelica’s phone dings. Sighing, she pulls it out of her pocket and begins to frown at her phone.
“It looks like Atlas is running late,” she grumbles. “Something about needing to finish work on a very important project,” She shakes her head. “The life of a CEO wife is never easy! I’m sure you’ll understand soon enough, once Clark brings you into his business.” She sighs. “I hope that someday Clark will trust you as much as Atlas trusts me.”
Atlas snorts.
“What was that?”
“Nothing. I just have a bit of a sniffle,” I lie as I pretend to feel a little sick. “I think I must be coming down with something.”
“Oh you poor dear,” she pouts as if she is the one who isn’t feeling well. “Sure you don’t need me to help…
“I’m sure!” I laugh as I close the door.

“OKI” Angelica shouts through the door “Just hurry up! Atlas should be here in about 20 minutes. We wouldn’t want to keep him waiting.”
Atlas waits until her footsteps retreat down the hall before reaching across me and locking the door. Turning towards me, he gives me a look that screams trouble.
*She could come back at any moment,” I gasp as he stalks me, his eyes roving my body with uncontained lust.
“She’s not expecting me for another twenty minutes,” he smirks.
“Twenty minutes isn’t very long.” I protest.
“Long enough,” he reaches forward, “for me to give you a little kiss.”
